"My wife and I went to the Outer Banks for a day and a half adventure that involved needing a hotel room. I chose shutters based on being located near one of the music venues we would be visiting. We are both free pleased with our stay. It was of course in the winter and off-season so we didn’t have any crowds anywhere which was perfect for us. It was everything we needed and expected and nothing we didn’t need. It was perfect."

"First, the pictures on trip advisor are misleading. Do not base your decision to stay here based on these photos. There is no breakfast available. The lobby is very small. The front desk person was folding sheets and towels at the desk. The rooms are very basic. Missing a few things . No hand soap at the sinks no toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom, no where to hang your clothes. Oh and the furniture is very hard like sitting on cement blocks. The coffee maker was poor, it used small coffee bags that were not good. There were no drinking cups in the room either.No housekeeping offered, no security lock on the door and elevators are outside where anyone can use them. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a nice view from the balcony. There is easy access to the beach and the location is convenient. I cannot really recommend this hotel when there are better choices available. "

"The house was nice. And very clean. Great location. However Kees vacation is horrible! I would never rent from them anywhere. When we arrived we found out there were no blow dryers, iron and ironing board, pot holders, minimal amenities, such as dish detergent, trash bags, etc. We had to purchase more of all of that. Soap dispensers were difficult to use. Their website says they have luxury linens - well I think they were KMarts cheapest brand! We first texted and asked for blow dryers and iron and ironing board. And potholders. This is what the instructions told us to do. Received a text back asking for more info. Also the can opener was broken, trash drawer was broken, one of the bathroom fans didn’t work. We told them all of this. Two days went by and we didn’t hear from them. When we called it was obvious there was an answering service in Tim Buck Two and we asked to speak to management and was never given to anyone else. I don’t even think they had a local office. Finally my husband had to threaten to sue before they showed up with the items we were missing. They had to go out and purchase the items, which makes no sense to us. So do not rent a place managed by this company!"
