Our room was extremely cozy and comfortable. The bed was great and it seems like the showers were recently renovated, but the best part was definitely Nick at thr front desk. Nick was sooo delightful. My wife and I were treated with the most kindness and patience we expierenced during our whole stay on Key West. Nick had so many recommendstions for us and each one was perfect!

AVOID! I have stayed in many Florida hotels and B&Bs. I have never given a one-star rating before, and I do not give this one-star rating lightly. It is amazing how just deceiving photography can be, because what was surely once a stately, elegant home has now been turned into an antiseptic, Motel 6 experience. The first floor has been completely cordoned off, and the room provides only the barest of amenities. If you select this hotel, you will be amazed at how much smaller your room will be in real life compared to what you see on your computer screen. For an excess of $200 a night, you will have a room with an inadequate coffee maker and four packets of drip coffee (two regular, two decaf). Your wall will be bare of all artwork, and your room lack any Key West charm. You could be in Anytown USA as a matter of fact. The FINAL straw is that you will be charged $3.00 for bottled water at the vending machine, while the Hemingway Gift Shop only charges $2.00. If you cross the street to visit the check in desk of the Silver Palms Inn (with whom you will be dealing with for check in/check out/continental breakfast) and request a bottle of water…you will be denied. That $1.99 luxury is reserved for only your arrivals and checkouts. If I could give less than one star, I certainly would. Please spare yourself our mistake. For a hotel company that just saved itself it’s $1.99, you will never see my $560.00 again.

Beautiful place!! Very clean!!

We booked the king deluxe. The room was large and fairly updated. The problem was the hallway getting to it. This is an 1891 home that smells every bit of it. There are several beautiful plantation windows that can be opened. My impulse was to open all of them to air the place out. We were unable to open windows in the room and had to lock the doors leading to the porch as another room had access to the same porch. Free parking was a big draw for choosing this place. The address states 809 Truman Drive. Unfortunately that also happens to be Route 1, the main road into/out of town. Motorcycles, cars with those awful mufflers, trucks and sirens are what you hear all night. Tip - unplug the refrigerator so you aren’t awakened by the rattle of the refrigerator compressor going on & off. It’s convenient for walking places. Free breakfast isn't anything great but there’s a few choices and again, it’s free…you just have to cross route 1 to get it.

Stayed here one night in the high season. Reasonably priced. Nice place overall. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was in good order, with a large shower. Everything was clean and in decent condition. Located in an old house, lots of charm. Pool and garden at the back. Several parking spaces on the side. Check in and breakfast are done at the hotel across the street, which is part of the same group/property. Breakfast was limited, but still, got a nice omelette and plenty of coffee/juice/etc. Very centrally located. 10-15 minute walk to most of the key attractions in the center of Key West. Would very much recommend for a short stay in Key West

A beautiful hotel that really gets you into the Key West vibe. Clean and spacious rooms—truly a joy to stay in. However, breakfast is served across the street in a much less charming building than the main hotel. That’s one thing. But two: the breakfast itself is a different story altogether. The food isn’t tasty and there are hardly any healthy options. Everything is served with plastic cutlery and plates—hard to believe that’s still happening in 2025. Not only is it totally unsustainable, but it also doesn’t match the look and feel of such an elegant, upscale hotel. Why was this choice made? So here’s a tip: if you’re planning to spend that kind of money on a hotel, pick one that offers a fitting breakfast—and just a little more atmosphere ;-)

Very upset that they did not give us a credit or refund on our deposit when the world was globally shut down with the Microsoft issues..We couldn’t find any flights at all, we tried to even go on Saturday but they couldn’t get us a flight. Since we were never able to go on our trip we will be rescheduling it two weeks from now. Will not be using this place. No heart . Everything is always about money and the customers are the only ones who get screwed.

I love this hotel! I stayed here 3 nights last June and I only stayed 2 nights this time because they were booked. Hotel is old Key West… i had a huge balcony overlooking the street with plush chairs and a table. The room had all the conveniences. The staff is friendly & helpful. There is coffee available in the lobby!! IT IS DELICIOUS!☕️ Don’t miss the included breakfast including omelettes cooked to order by the pool! Very tasty! It’s within a 10–5 minute walk from most attractions. Enjoy!! Cheers!
