登盧花園飯店(The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens)

Nous rêvions d’y aller au vu des photos, et avons réorganisé nos étapes pour le faire, l’hôtel étant complet les week-ends. Bien nous en a pris! Très bon accueil du staff et attentions pour les enfants. Le site est incroyable, nous avions vue sur la prairie avec les animaux et le gap of dunloe au loin. De très nombreuses activités - nous n’avons pas tout testé sur 2 nuits, en revanche nous avons beaucoup fréquenté l’immense piscine où l’on se sent comme à l’extérieur. La salle à manger est magnifique, avec un grand choix de plats au petit déjeuner en plus du buffet. La chambre familiale est tellement confortable et adéquate avec des enfants (2 ados). Nous rêvons tous d’y retourner; sachez qu’il est difficile d’en sortir! Nous avons tout de même réussi à faire une partie de la ballade gap of dunloe. Si vraiment il faut trouver quelquechose, il pourrait juste y avoir du jus d’orange frais et un plus vaste choix de thés, et si vous voulez goûter à ce séjour vraiment recommandé, prenez vous y à l’avance car il est recherché (mariages notamment, y compris en semaine, sans aucune nuisance).

At £270 per night in this “5 star” hotel - you expect a lovely stay, all I can say is I won’t be coming back nor recommending to anyone, I’ll be telling them to avoid! Check in is at 3pm: we arrive 2:15pm and told our room isn’t ready, which is totally fine as we are early, so I leave our suitcase at reception and I’m told the concierge will take it up for us when the room is ready. And I’ll get a text to know the room is ready too. 3pm rolls by and I haven’t received the text but since it’s check in time now I go to reception and assume the room is ready, to which I’m told “no it’s not, check in is FROM 3pm”. Unless Dunloe Hotel has different rules to every other hotel in the world, this is NOT how check in operates. All rooms should be ready by the advertised check in time!!! I’m told it will be 30 mins wait and I’ll get a text. 4:30pm (1.5 hours after check in), I haven’t received a text and go back to reception. I’m told “yes the room is ready didn’t you get a text??” No I didn’t, to rely on this text system and it doesn’t clearly work is shocking. We were only the hotel bar why didn’t they come and find us???? Anyway I go up to the room, no suitcase. Back to reception who apologise (first apology we have received) and say the concierge will bring it right away. 5pm and no suitcase, I then go back to reception and can see it’s still sitting there so I just have to bring it up myself. Not exactly the 5 star service I was hoping for. My husband uses a wheelchair so going down to breakfast is added faff, therefore we order room service breakfast between 8:30-9:00am. I wake up and can see the order card has been removed from our door handle. 9:20am comes by and I phone reception (restaurant not answering) asking if our breakfast is on the way. She goes to check and I get a phone call that they DONT HAVE OUR ORDER. By this point I’m just absolutely livid, we get no offer of free tray service to our room (7.5 euros each) to remedy it, so I don’t want to pay this anymore (funnily enough) and we race down to breakfast instead. Truly a disaster from start to finish and never experienced such badly managed operations in a hotel. It’s such a shame because the grounds staff & gardeners deserve 5 stars as the grounds are amazing. At check out when asked “how was your stay” I told them all of this and absolutely no discount was offered, shocking service.

Τέλος Αυγούστου του 22 μείναμε για 2 βραδιά. Τα δωμάτια πολύ άνετα με παλιά διακόσμηση αλλά καθαρά. Το μέρος ανεπανάληπτο. Φάγαμε κ τα δυο βραδιά με πολύ καλό φαγητό. Το σέρβις στο πρωινό και δείπνο καλό .Θα μπορούσαν να ήταν ποιο χαμογελαστή . Θα ξαναερχόμουν ευχάριστος .

Dieses Hotel war der hotelseitige Höhepunkt unserer Irland-Reise. Das Haus, die Zimmer und der Service genügen höchsten Ansprüchen. Wir waren zweimal Abendessen im Restaurant und waren jedes Mal begeistert. Service, Qualität der Speisen etc. alles wirklich perfekt. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und auch hier ist der Service ausgezeichnet.

Besides the view of Dunloe - unbelievably disappointing. Poor standard room that had dead flies in the window inside, bird dirt all over the balcony, chipped indoor window sill that badly needed a lick of paint. A general feeling of discomfort with the room - it is not at all on par with price. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all fine but nothing too memorable. More than willing to take account of the pandemic and that it takes time to get back into the swing of it after such a difficult period but tor the money it just didn’t cut it. This is not a 5 star hotel. Not even a 4 in my opinion.

Stayed for a night this week and have to say from start to finish everything was fantastic...only dissapointing thing was we didnt stay longer....food,service,rooms and location were top notch...on checkout we found out the gift voucher we had was expired and to their credit they honoured it anyway...would have no issue in recommending to anyone looking for quality short break

Very Clean ,well run hotel,service in the bar and restairant 100%. good sizerooms and ensuites, pool very big with diffent depts and dedicated lane for the hard core swimmer. good sized gym, nice walks around the grounds, very central for visiting other sights,-- live music in the bar was very lound for its size ,hence i could not have an after dinner drink on 2 occasions

My Husband and I got married at the Dunloe Hotel October 2023 and we were blown away with how helpful the staff were throughout all the planning process and even on the day. All the guests can't stop talking about how amazing the food, the hospitality and the grounds were. We got some lovely photos at the hotel. The rooms were quiet and spacious and had a lot of room to get ready the morning of the ****ing. We held our ceremony in the Beaufort Suite in the Events centre, held the drinks reception in the Upper longue and the reception in the Park suite. We would like to give a special shout out to Rachael, Jason and Simon for all their help to make the day as special as it was.

We recently celebrated our wedding in the Dunloe Hotel in September and we had an amazing time! We are so happy we chose the Dunloe to celebrate our wedding. From the moment we made contact with Rachael Hayes we knew we were in safe hands. Rachael is so friendly, has great attention to detail and is very welcoming. She helped us so much and really understood what we wanted for our wedding. The hotel itself is amazing with its stylish decor, beautiful views of the Gap and welcoming staff. We received great feedback from our family and friends. Some of our guests had children staying at the hotel, and the staff were able to organise childminding services with no issues. I can't reccomend the Dunloe Hotel enough as a wedding venue. The food service and atmosphere was excellent. Special thank you to Bridie who looked after us so well! Thanks to Jason also for helping us out on the morning of the wedding! The Dunloe will always hold a special place for us and we can't wait to visit again! Rachael & Ferdia
