"I was an atypical guest for Mary and John in that I stayed for nine nights with the intention of doing genealogy and family history research in the area. My stay could not have been better. The suite was immaculate and the food was fresh prepared daily and both delicious and plentiful and the surrounding scenery is some of the best in Ireland. But that was not all. Mary and John's hospitality was exceptional. By the end of my stay I felt as if I was part of their family. It was truly a pleasure and a privilige to stay with them. I would recommend An Doonean to anyone, single or group, overnight only or longer who plans to visit the Dingle Peninsula. Quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of the more touristy places in nearby Dingle, you won't be sorry if you stay here. I know I'll be back anytime I visit the area in the future. Boston Bill"
