Unfortunately I had a terrible experience from staff at Ruz hotel!!! Me and my fiancée are both health care professionals and were looking forward to our first holiday abroad since Covid 19. We had booked a week stay with Ruz via a booking app and were all set and excited for our travel. As we both work in a hospital and have direct patient contact with Covid we test ourself twice a week at home. Two days before the flight I tested positive and we decided it would be unwise to put other vulnerable guest and staff at risk by traveling and contacted the hotel directly early to inform them of the situation. The hotel made it very clear that was not there problem and that we booked non refundable which is true. But didn’t even sound apologetic. In fact said they won’t even help or advice we can still come to stay if we wanted. ( very irresponsible and unsafe) The booking app we more understanding and tried to call hotel manager directly explaining our roles and unfortunate situation but the refused to help in any way and said they same they can come stay if the feel like there losing there money. I feel disappointed with there communication skills and response to our situations as we worked as healthcares and was unfortunate risk. Even more disappointed about there response to come to hotel as risk other guests Will not recommend this hotel as tourism business and hotel is all about making guest feel at home and welcome. they did the opposite.
