We stayed in a private room at Casavia Siargao and had a great experience overall. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows that ensured restful nights. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place.
The hostel offers some great spaces for chilling out and socializing, which we appreciated after long days of exploring. During our stay, the island was experiencing a three-week-long power cut. Thankfully, the hostel had a generator and used it on a schedule, which helped make the situation manageable.
There’s a construction site adjacent to the hostel, but it didn’t really affect us since we were out during the day, and work had usually finished by the time we returned.
Overall, Casavia Siargao provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even under challenging circumstances. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island and looking for a friendly and relaxed place to stay.
Staff were very accommodating and especially Loyd made the the whole We really enjoyed the trip and the trip was made amazing by mad monkey, I loved my time in the Philippines and Siargao was the best
Kalipay was in the best location ever, yet also like a sanctuary of peace! It helped that there weren’t too many guests when we were there too (as we were just at the beginning of the season). The staff were absolutely lovely and helped us book all of our motorbikes, transfers & surf lessons. We had the reception number on WhatsApp so if our plans changed we could easily contact them to help us - honestly, it took all the faff out of the holiday and meant we could really enjoy ourselves. The room was gorgeous and so big for 2 people! Great shower, air con or a ceiling fan, super comfy bed (if you prefer a slightly harder memory foam feel) & complimentary drinking water and tea. There was also a mini fridge of snacks which you did need to pay extra for but we enjoyed this to have a sweet treat post dinner! There are great drink / dinner options within a 2 minute walk, or 5 minute motorbike ride. We would recommend CEV for amazing ceviche (we went twice) & Goodies did a great cocktail. We also ate breakfast and lunch at Kalipay once and enjoyed both meals. Thank you so much to the Kalipay team - we’d come back in a heartbeat! Emma & Ed

She doesn’t smile or say hi to everyone and would sometimes roll her eyes for no reason at all. But besides that, the place has got to be the best hostel to stay in if you’re looking to socialize and make new friends.
MMark Francis MacasinagHad so much fun staying on this hostel. The staff are accommodating and friendly. You can rent a motorcycle from them for only 350 pesos per day. The road going to the hostel is not cemented ( well most of the road away from the main road are not cemented as well)

The downside is walang masyadong kainan na malapit kapag lumabas ka kaya need mo magtricycle palagi everytime gusto mo kumain. Kaya they also offer free breakfast kasi wala ka nga naman makakainan sa labas na malapit. 6:40am start ng breakfast nila tas yung babaeng assistant wala man lang urgency na ihanda agad at 7am pa magsisimula magluto. Lol. The worst part is yung pinapatay nila yung breaker ng electricty kapag tanghali (kasi inaassume nila na walang tao sa room) kaya minsan sobrang init kapag nagstay ka sa don. So need mo pa sila tanungin kung brownout ba or pinatay lang nila breaker tas tsaka nila bubuksan ulit. Lol. I suggest wag na kayo magstay dito and mas better kung makahanap kayo ng accom along Town Hall para malapit sa kaninan. Note that they collect a key deposit of 100pesos which wag ka na umasa na mababalik. Since all departure flights sa Siargao ay umaga and tulog pa sila around 5am then yung main house is nakalock so I guess yung 100pesos na kinolect is parang payment na rin sa key duplication so if ever na matapat din kayo sa ganung situation eh wag niyo ng iwan sa room yung susi at itapon niyo nalang.
