查爾斯先生河景小屋(Mr. Charles Riverview Lodge)

The room was clean and nice. The view was great. The a**osphere was quiet because they didn’t have a lot of guests. We liked the dinner that they delivered to our room. I was looking for traditional food and it was exactly what I needed. The beer that you can buy outside for 2200 kyats was 4500 kyats at the hotel! I find it a bit too expensive. At first, everything seemed perfect. But then the breakfast was disappointing. It had nothing to do with the pictures that you can see on Tripadviser. I understand that they didn’t have a lot of guests but they could’ve at least made more traditional fries because they had only a few on the plate and you feel embarrassed if you want more: you leave like 2-3 for other people. Basically, the breakfast was fried rice, fried vermicelli, sautéed beans and a few fried sausages with one fried egg… No coffee and only powder juice. They said they had no customers for weeks. But I don’t see how this can stop you from buying some coffee and keep it for the day you have customers again. Thanks god they had some tangerine! On top of that, the checking out process wasn’t on the level. I was just preparing my bike and took only a few things out. My friend went to the reception to ask for some info before we leave, she didn’t even give back the key. When I get to the room to take the rest of our things, they’re already there checking the minibar and the rest. It felt like we were running away and they were afraid we did something wrong. It left an unpleasant feeling at the end.
