格林那斯莫勒飯店(Gleann Na Smol)

12 maggio 2023..Wow che dire... Dopo 16 giorni in Irlanda e averla girata in auto, arrivare lì.... Orrore... Dopo soltanto 5 minuti io e mia moglie siamo scappati, il proprietario puzzava come del resto tutta la casa,la camera squallida, sudicia, mal odorante , angusta e scomoda, la cucina un disordine completo per non parlare della sporcizia, e pensare che ci ha detto che potevamo usarla come se fosse nostra.. Di fronte alla nostra presunta camere una porta aperta con macerie, sporcizia, scarpe lasciate così e un rasoio elettrico con le ragnatele... Un grande bleff, un catfish ad opera d'arte.. Non so come le persone possano aver dato delle recensioni ottime, e in più come una struttura così possa esercitare ancora nel accogliere persone da tutto il mondo.. Veramente u a struttura da far chiudere immediatamente

Delizioso B&B situato vicino al molo di Howth raggiungibile dalla struttura in pochi minuti a piedi dove trovare molti localini tipici per gustare pesce fresco o carne e con un po’ di fortuna avvistare le foche che vi stanziano. Particolarmente simpatico il proprietario, Sean, un personaggio con cui intraprendere dialoghi interessanti, che è anche un buon cuoco e un buon amico sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Colazione abbondantissima con una infinità di scelte tra salato e dolce, marmellate, toast, salsicce, bacon, uova, succhi, cereali e molto altro! Stanze modeste (è un B&B non un hotel!) ma pulite con bagno in camera, tv e ampie finestre. La struttura è grande e ha vari locali: una fornitissima cucina nel caso si voglia preparare qualcosa durante il giorno con lavatrice ed asciugatrice, una sala pranzo, una di lettura. È dotato anche di un piccolo parcheggio privato dove ho parcheggiato la mia auto. La posizione del B&B è comodissima sia per andare a piedi nella parte commerciale nei pressi del porticciolo che per raggiungere in auto in pochi minuti un parcheggio da cui partire per un trekking (adatto a tutti, molto facile) lungo la scogliera sino ad arrivare al faro. Consigliatissimo!

Se cercate il lusso e tutti i confort avete sbagliato posto, ma se volete la vera Irlanda questo è il posto giusto. Il B&B si trova a Howth un luogo magico circondato dal mare a 15 Km da Dublino. Le stanze sono semplici ed essenziali ma ci si sta bene. Il vero plus però è il proprietario il sig. Sean, siamo stati accolti come dei vecchi amici, la prima notte ha concesso a nostra figlia di soggiornare con noi (lei era ospite da una famiglia a Dublino) e al mattino ha preparato per tutti e tre una fantastica colazione irlandese senza pretendere un euro in più (avevamo prenotato solo per due). A colazione,compresa nel prezzo, non mancavano comunque pane tostato, burro ottimo, marmellate, cereali frutta, niente male per un B&B. Per me consigliatissimo. Grazie Sean non ti dimenticheremo.

Maison très bien située au calme, et propriétaire très sympathique ! Petit déjeuner au top Chambres typiques et simples mais équipées comme il convient Village à visiter et très bien pour dîner et boire une bière

The place is absolutely not up to any standards.Our room was dirty, cobwebs everywhere, dust on every shelving unit, mould in the bathroom, dirty carpet. Shower room very tiny and dirty. Not working TV(why bother to put it in the room anyway?). The radiator vaulve was missing so couldn't regulate temperature at all. Entrance and the kitchen area very untidy, messy breakfast area with dirty cups, plates and mugs everywhere. ONLY FOR THE DESPERATE!

Sean was really accommodating. Friendly and funny host. Rooms were adequate and clean. Highly recommend staying here whilst you are in Howth. Just don’t ask for extra bacon as Sean is sure to tell other guests that you have asked.

This B&B was generally fine although it does depend on both your expectations and which room you are allocated as some can be noisy and lack privacy. However the bigger issue is the complete lack of security: No CCTV, no safe box, front and side entry doors left unlocked and open all day. The property is frequented by guests, workers and customers of a coffee van operating at the front. We had a substantial sum of money stolen from our room on the last afternoon of our stay which ruined our holiday. We can pinpoint the time of the theft due to the specific circumstances however unfortunately only realised after we’d left the accommodation. I would caution any other guests against leaving anything of value in their rooms. Of equal concern is the lack of response from the owner after I emailed him and provided him with full details of our experience.

The worst place we stayed in on our 30 day Ireland Trip. Filthy Mis-represented Terrible room. Bed if you can call it a bed took up all but about 4 inches of floor space on one side AND springs popping out and dirty. Terrible experience. Open large containers of food. Filth on containers Church key locks that are hard to use and loud when going to the non attached bath in the entry hall. So bad. Worse than any hostel we have stayed in when young . We offered to recieve our money back and were simply told no so I cannot say there was any cooperation. Stay away!

Lovely little gem of a place just on outskirts of Dublin within walking distance to the harbour. Very close to a few nice bars an restaurants with a great host that can’t do enough for you . Highly recommend this place if you are going to be staying in Dublin . Nice an clean with very good breakfast.
