Twee overnachtingen gehad op doorreis in zeer prettig hotel met vriendelijk ontvangst, uitgebreidt en lekker ontbijt en fijne kamer. Op loopafstand van centrum. Zeker een aanrader en staat bovenaan ons lijstje voor een komend verblijf. John & Monica Bonsink

Mooi Hotel. Zeer schoon. Nette kamer met goede bedden. Goede WiFi. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Centrum op loop afstand. Wij waren op doorreis maar ook zeker een goed hotel voor een langer verblijf.

Generally it is a very nice hotel for a ski holiday. Our family ended up in this hotel due to another booking being cancelled, so we needed to find an alternative at a very short notice. As it is a family run hotel, then the hostess is very welcoming and friendly and making booking arrangements was very smooth. We arrived by car, so having a free parking at the hotel was a plus. We stayed in the Apartment with Mountain View, which is meant for 3 people, but hostess was kind enough to add an extra bed to the bedroom, so the four of us could stay there. The mattress of the main bed was of good quality. The apartment has a small kitchen with all necessary equipment, including stove and oven, so we prepared food on our own and did not order breakfast. Operating a tea kettle was a bit cumbersome, as it is an old model with a cord attached, but it is a minor issue. Food can be bought from Spar that is less than 1km away. One of the great benefits of this hotel is the location – it is around 500m away from Penkenbahn and Ahornbahn stations and from the main street. Though walking this distance in ski boots is also a bit troublesome, especially for kids, it is still quite ok. When returning from skiing we used a ski bus which stops just some 50m from the hotel. If you are a beginner skier, then I can recommend tracks 67 at 8er Horbergjoch, 14 at Horberg and 1&2 at Ahorn. The hotel has a special ski room in the cellar with heater for ski boots. For us the biggest minus of the apartment was lack of ventilation. If you do not leave the window open, then the room quite quickly runs out of fresh air. At the same time we did not want cold air to blow on our kids during the night. So achieving good balance of fresh air was a bit of a challenge. Also, I would recommend to the hotel to install a few clothes racks in the room. Currently the only place to hang your jackets is in a rather small closet. However, when coming from skiing and having a bit wet clothes it would be better to leave them in open space. Also, when booking the apartment I asked about the existence of sauna facility and was told that there is a sauna. Later we learned that it is for an extra charge of €7 per person. As the sauna facility looked rather modest, then we decided not to use it.

The owners make you feel like family from the moment you walk into their hotel/pension! From the locally made schnapps when we arrived to the family-made farewell gift, we loved our stay in our well-appointed family room! Our daily breakfast was filled with copious amounts of meats, cheeses, eggs made to order, yogurts, nuts, cereals, fresh baked rolls and sweets. Multiple juices, tea and coffee drinks rounded out our enjoyable mornings! And after the first day Monika and her staff thoughtfully remembered our family’s preferences! The location of the hotel is perfect as you have incredible views of the surrounding mountains! Additionally you’re not in the chaos of Mayrhofen’s downtown but are only a 5-10 minute walk! We give our highest recommendation for this hotel! We’re already planning our next visit later this winter!

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Die Bergbahnen sind gut zu erreichen, das Frühstück war lecker und die Gastgeberin ist jederzeit sehr herzlich. Des Weiteren gibt es einen guten Blick auf den Berg und die Bergbahnen, um die Wetterlage zu checken. Toll war auch der Parkplatz direkt am Haus und mit guter Größe.

Das Hotel Glück Auf ist ein sehr gemütliches Familiengeführtes Hotel. Die Wirtin und das Personal sind sehr nett und freundlich. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist reichhaltig und schmackhaft aufgebaut. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet und sauber.
