Wir haben das Cottage über Kim direkt gebucht (Whatsapp). Wir wollten sicher stellen, dass wir ein ganz bestimmtes erhalten und die Beschreibung auf den Websites waren zu ungenau. Außerdem kann man so etwas sparen. Wir waren über Tet in Hoi An volle 9 Nächte im Red Flower Cottages bei Kim. Sie ist eine sehr aufgeschlossene, liebe, kommunikative und führsorgliche Gastgeberin. Sie lebt mit ihrer Familie gleich nebenan. Tet ist das wichtigste Fest im Jahr für Vietnamesen und man kann damit rechnen, dass in den Wochen davor und vor allem danach viel geschlossen ist. Man fährt das Business runter wie man so schön sagt und somit waren wir die einzigen Gäste in der Zeit. Lediglich am An- und Abreisetag haben wir andere Gäste gesehen. Kim hilft wo sie kann und hat immer für ein Schwätzchen Zeit. Leider war der Kältepeak zu Tet dieses Jahr ultra pünktlich und 21-25 Grad fühlen sich hier unfassbar kalt an. Am Strand ist fast nichts los und auch die Restaurant Besitzer hier haben die meiste Zeit geschlossen. Die Lage ist auf jeden fall sehr gut und mit einem geliehenen Scooter ist man flott in der Altstadt, welche wohl die meisten Geschäfte in der Zeit trotzdem offen hält, da viele vietnamesische Touristen kommen. Es war super schön dieses authentische Treiben rund um Tet zu erleben auch wenn es als Tourist super unkomfortabel ist, da man nicht mal auf Da Nang ausweichen kann, weil auch hier alles runtergefahren wird. Bei schönem Wetter ist es in An Bang sicher schön aber so war es uns zu kalt und man konnte nur bei starken Wind herum fahren und "beobachten". Bis auf die Termiten im Bad die mir manchmal die Nerven geraubt haben, haben wir hier im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nichts zu bemängeln. Zum Strand sollte man den Short Cut neben Kim´s Haus nutzen und für das beste veggie Banh Mi geht man am besten zu WinWin links die Straße entlang auf der rechten Seite, wenn man vom Red Flower Cottages raus kommt (schwarz/gelbes Schild mit der Aufschrift WinWin - gegenüber ist direkt noch ein Banh Mi Stand) ＞mega lecker gewürzte Soße mit eingelegtem Tofu! Nirgends so bekommen in Vietnam! Nachts gibt es übrigens einen Nachtwächter und das Tor wird geschlossen. Sicherheit ist also auch gewährleistet, falls einem das wichtig ist, neben einem vorhandenen Safe im Zimmer.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Kim and the rest of your beautiful team at Red Flower Cottages. We had a wonderful relaxing time. The Homestay is exactly like the photos. Just a quick stroll down the path to the beach. Our room was large,clean and had a full size fridge. The front porch was huge with a day bed and fan which made it great for lazy mornings and afternoons. Lots of restaurants close by. People are super friendly.

From start to finish Kim and her team were fantastic. So so friendly. The place is a hidden gem. So close to A bang beach,shops and restaurants. My room was superb,cleaned every day and a laundry service that was super quick. From a friendly morning breakfast from the team to a good evening from the ‘night watch man’ Would highly recommend this place. I stayed 15 nights and didn’t want to leave. Perfect place in a perfect area.

This place felt like a home away from home. Our villa was large and comfortable and had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay by the beach. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the manager Kim was like a ray of sunshine and we quickly became very close. Kim went over and beyond to make our stay exactly what we wanted by booking all our tours and transfers and even had a friend come and give me a pedicure on our daybed on our deck…I felt very spoilt. We had problems with a flight booking and Kim tried on a few occasions to fix this for us by phoning the airline on our behalf which we are truly grateful for. Each morning our delicious breakfast would be brought to our bamboo setting on our balcony…we would chose from a menu the day before. The cottages are in a quiet location even though they are close to restaurants, spas, a pharmacy etc and only about 100 metres from a nice section of beach that had daybeds and umbrellas. It’s like an oasis after a night in the old town of Hoi An and only a short taxi ride away. We loved our stay here so much and vowed to return one day. I would highly recommend staying at Red Flower Cottages homestay.

Red Flower homestay was a tremendous chance discovery! Having never been to An Bang we weren't sure what to expect but were smitten by the attention from Kim and her staff. She organised our airport transfer and met us at the gates of the homestay. Our cottage was at the end of the garden, comprising a kitchen/sitting room, bedroom with an en-suite and a terrace. Bedroom had air-conditioning and a mosquito net, and the fridge in the kitchen had a fully stocked 'minibar' at much more reasonable prices than you see in a hotel. The staff were very friendly, set up anti-mosquito coils on the terrace every evening and cleaned the cottage every day. Kim helped us with recommendations for restaurants and, very importantly, a great tailor in Hoi An. Breakfast was available on request and included juices, hot drinks and Western food options as well as several local noodle specialties. We had a great relaxed stay during which we were very welcome. All in all, we felt right at home and left determined to come back.

For the third time, it was a great joy and pleasure to stay with Kim and her skilled, friendly and helpful staff. Like the last two times, our bungalow was in a very nice condition and there was fresh fruit in the room when we arrived ,and juice was served to us . As something new and sustainable, our water bottles in the fridge were filled every day, to avoid the big waste of plastic. We were also asked every afternoon what we wanted for breakfast - that way we were always sure to get the completely fresh and delicious food, what we wanted and food waste was completely avoided. Breakfast was served each morning on our private porch when we were ready for it. Kim arranged both for pick-up in Danang and an early morning taxi to the airport - both times at an extremely reasonable price and right on time. The only thing we could have wished for was a better weather and a bit of sunshine. But you cannot blame Red Flower Cottages Homestay for that.

We stumbled across Red Flower by chance, recommended on arrival to An Bang by a local.... How lucky we were! Kim is the best host ever. Our stay was filled with calm relaxation, loads of great recommendations of unusual things to do, fun, adventures and friendship. It was very hard to leave, it feels like leaving a new home. Will most definitely be coming back, this is the place!
