The hostel is ok, the price for a room is very cheap. It is more a full apartment than a room but the kitchen wasn’t fully equipped. Some rooms had a musty smell but mine was ok. The cafeteria is not open in the evening and they run out of coffee very early in the morning. No real area to socialize with others. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there during the protests in June 2025 and they took good care of us and provided for our safety. However, I moved after three nights as there are other options available at Nairobi that are as cheap as YWCA but the rooms are better maintained.
