SpringHill Suites Lansing

The hotel itself was in the process of being updated. The room was larger than expected but the beds were small and pretty uncomfortable. The customer service and desk staff were amazing. My daughter accidentally left her Squishmallow Dragon in the bed when we checked out and realized it hours later. Thankfully, we were still in the area. We went back in to the desk and told them what had happened and the woman at the front desk took us up to the room to look, checked in with the housekeeping staff who was cleaning our floor, and then checked with the laundry staff. The whole crew took time out of their busy days to help find my daughter’s stuffed animal and was so kind about the whole thing. It’s hard to find good, caring customer service like that nowadays because everyone is so short-staffed and burnt out. We GREATLY appreciated it!!!

The advertised hot breakfast was hot but not very tasty. It was frozen food that had been heated in a microwave. Most hotels I have stayed at recently make fresh eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes each morning. As well, they usually have waffle makers and not pre-cooked waffles that had to be put in a toaster at SpringHill. It is a quality hotel, except for the food.

Property is currently going through renovations, but that didn’t stop it from being a great stay. Staff was great, super helpful and very welcoming! The team here is great and the front desk agent deserves a raise!

Easy check in, Alec was very friendly and helpful. Room was as hoped, hotel is bright and clean. Hotel was booked full and they didn't seem prepared for the number at breakfast. Items were unavailable and bananas were green.

It was an alright stay. We specifically stayed there for the pool, but the manager had decided to cloae the pool because they couldnt heat it. Which is fine, but update your information so familys looking for some pool time choose somewhere else. The "crib" was a gross looking pack and play. I would have brought ours if I had known, I would have brought my own. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay.

From service to cleanliness this hotel has everything you’d expect from a Marriott property. The only problem we had was that breakfast was mobbed before we woke up and it wasn’t restocked. But there are plenty of other food options nearby. This is the farthest west you’ll find a hotel in the immediate Lansing area. You have to go to Charlotte or Portland to find others further out. Convenient if you’re traveling I-69 in particular.

Great hotel nice stay would have liked to use hot tub but it was closed for maintenance. The ice machine was out of order on the first floor and computer in the office room wasn’t working.

I believe there were resource issues where the room was not able to be turned during the two night stay. The service at the desk was excellent.

Everything was wonderful except one inconvenience that another guest was upset about in the lobby as we were checking out. Apparently the evening desk clerk told this family that the pool was open and when they got too the pool the next morning it was out of order. Sounding like a little thing to me, as I heard her say she specifically picked this hotel specifically because the pool was open since so many hotels advertise pools but closed them due to covid rules and do NOT advertise that. I felt bad for the kids in their swim gear with nothing to swim in now. Instead of being told of other places she take the her kids, public pool, lake, etc, the morning clerk just stared at her saying the pool was out of order. Where’s a manager when u need one?? Other than that - the room was gorgeous, clean, functional, and really comfortable to be in. Not just a bed and a bathroom. Beyond that! The breakfast buffet was stellar with scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, turkey sausage, hot oatmeal with a variety of toppings, bagels, muffins, juices. The server was extraordinarily attentive and very friendly! Overall, too 5 best stays I’ve had! Good job Lansing!
