Cielo Lodge is a must when visiting Costa Rica! The overall experience is exceptional. The welcoming and passionate staff, the food, the activities organized for us and the magnificent set up and view of Golfito Dolce. Everything was what we had hoped for. We definitely recommend!

Cielo Lodge offers the best of Costa Rica in an exclusive, luxury resort experience. Fantastic cabins/suites, engaging excursions, excellent service and delicious food in a beautiful mountain resort setting.

Spent 6 nights at Cielo over Valentine's Day week. Had a fabulous time. The suites were spacious and beautiful and open to the beautiful surroundings. We were greeted each morning by moneys, toucans, parrots, fresh juice and pastries delivered to our suite as the sun rose and our day began. All the staff were friendly and helpful with whatever you needed. Took some trips to explore the grounds with Josua, who was wonderful at finding birds and other animals and telling stories. The food was fabulous and Charl, the bartender, was always there to greet us with a drink in hand. Had an issue with the ceiling fan in our suite, but the owner was able to get it fixed so we didn't have to go without over night, which was appreciated since there is no air conditioning. This is the smallest place we have stayed at so you get to know everyone there, which is part of the charm.

I have been fortunate to explore Costa Rica extensively on numerous trips. When I decided to take some time off in December 2023, I sought a place in my favorite region, the southern Pacific area, looking for a secluded retreat surrounded by lush tropical nature and wildlife, offering high-level amenities and privacy simultaneously. I found it at Cielo Lodge. Upon arriving at the main building after a 20-minute drive on a winding gravel road, I was greeted by attentive and friendly staff offering a welcome drink made from fresh fruit. The breathtaking view from the main building and the swimming pool area immediately assured me that I had made a perfect choice. My suite was surrounded by tropical nature and featured a stunning view, overlooking the private nature reserve and the mystic Talamanca mountain range. It was well-designed and equipped, providing all the amenities and more that I was seeking. I particularly enjoyed the view from my spacious deck and the seclusion of the setting. An outdoor shower with hot water, accessible from the main bathroom, added to the experience, making me feel like I was living in the heart of the rainforest without sacrificing any comfort. The meals at Cielo Lodge were outstanding. As someone who is very selective about food, I was consistently impressed. Always prepared from fresh, local ingredients in a creative manner, I was pampered and surprised by a wide variety of delicious tastes. The dining area's setting was beautiful, and even during meals or while relaxing at the pool, I could observe abundant wildlife in the surrounding trees. All of the included activities were well-planned and led by knowledgeable and friendly local guides. The personalized, genuine service and the hospitable nature of all staff members made my stay a resounding success. I highly recommend Cielo Lodge to any traveler seeking an unforgettable and immersive nature experience.

Nestled in an unspoiled pocket of Costa Rica, Cielo Lodge is truly an undiscovered gem. From the moment you book your stay, you can feel the exceptional level of care provided by the staff. Our nights in the canopy suite were incredibly restful, surrounded by the sounds of nature. The outdoor shower was a highlight, as was spending mornings on the deck watching monkeys and birds. The meals at Cielo Lodge were a culinary delight, with each dish feeling gourmet and customizable to our preferences. Additionally, the dolphin tour, mangrove tour, and customized jungle hike were all unforgettable experiences. Donny and Josue, our guides, were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife. Our adventure hearts are bursting after this incredible stay at Cielo Lodge.

Wonderful high end Eco lodge in the hills above Golfito on the Osa Peninsula on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Beautiful property of modern designed casitas and lodge set amidst the untouched rain forest overlooking the aqua waters of Golfito Bay. You'll be serenaded by parrots and monkeys each morning and evening as you walk their grounds or dine in the lodge's outdoor dining area. Six high quality private casitas make up the property so it is never crowded making for an intimate experience with an exceptional staff who will take care of you and make you feel right at home. The three included meals per day are delicious with a wide assor**ent of options. And the price includes a large variety of wonderful activities to fill your day from dolphin/whale watching to hikes to birding tours. and there are additional (for a reasonable fee) activates also available, such as surfing, fishing, etc. It's a week in paradise. It's probably not for everyone, but if you want an active experience in one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Rica set in a secluded, rustic (no AC as it is an eco lodge), yet luxurious setting, we highly recommend the Cielo Lodge.

My second multi day visit to Cielo and it was as delightful and restorative as ever. All of the included activities are outstanding and the day trip to Corcovado with naturalist Donny was a once in a lifetime bucket list experience. I’ll be back

I just can’t say enough great things about Cielo Lodge! The food, the staff, the view it was all outstanding Nicole and Keith go WAY out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The lodge itself has clean lines and is open and airy. The view couldn’t possibly be better. There are excursions that are included with your stay and you can also choose, as I did, to take additional side trips to Corcovado National Park with their guide Donny. Don’t miss out on this gem of a place

After reading all these fantastic reviews it was almost…we had to experience it for myself, can it really be that good? Well, it can and is. Cielo Lodge is truly wonderful, unique and impressive. The service is exemplary, from booking to all other aspects of your stay. Honestly, in all our travels we’ve never experience anything quite like it. Where else will the owner (Nicole) get up at 4:30am to say good bye on your departure day. Just doesn’t happen! The individual, secluded lodges, are lovely and comfortable. Each providing wonderful views to complement the sights and sounds of the rain forest which surrounds you. All the activities on site and off are well planned and enjoyable. It was great to have your day to day activities provided for your stay prior to your arrival. Each day you knew what adventures lie ahead. Though just sitting by the infinity pool taking in the view was certainly quite impressive as well. There’s no doubt that if you are looking for this type of get-away, Cielo Lodge should be your first consideration. The experience is unique…one you won’t forget.
