薩里香海濱旅館(Salishan Coastal Lodge)

I had a fabulous stay at this sustainable hotel that incorporates nature into every aspect of the property. I loved using the sauna & pool, the mini market, restaurants & lounging areas in the main building. I enjoyed having coffee on my balcony that overlooked the golf course. My one small complaint was there was some road noise & I hope they put up sound barriers at some point (I could only hear it outside from my balcony which was one of the far buildings, so I'm sure others may not experience this).

Our room was lovely. Clean and ready for early check in. But there was a half started toilet paper roll and no extra. Same with the tissues. It was at the end of the box so we had to call the front desk for toilet paper on our first day. The food was terribly over priced. And no one told me about the kids menu until our last day. So my 2 year olds meals were $20-30 when they could have been less than $10. The Provisions counter was ALWAYS left unattended! We had to wait upwards of 10 minutes for service. The biggest downfall of this place is the service!! Horrible service. Clearly the employees don’t care that guest pay $200+ per night and they all noticeably hate their jobs. The service level is bare minimum! From the front desk to the Provisions market to the wait staff at The Attic restaurant. EVERY employee just seemed irritated that they were at work. And they took out their frustration and lack of interest on the paying customers. Cold food, wrong orders, rude staff, lack of customer service are all reasons I say DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Secretly overpriced and you are treated as a burden, not a guest!!

The room was ok. Pretty dated. Pool and hot tube was fun kids. In the room there was no drinking water, instead your given 2 glass cups for water that you have to go outside in the cold and rain to fill up everytime you want it drink or make coffee. The Attic restaurant made us sick that evening, everyone had stomach aches.

Lots of positive experiences while staying at Shailshan. I was very pleased with our time and comfort. The front desk was amazing and helpful. They were very good to my child as well and she continues to talk about her stickers that she got to pick. Food: THANK YOU so much for having so many options for me (vegetarian & gluten-free!) I was over the moon with my options. Also: thanks for keeping the pool on the warmer side. While it was still a bit cold for me, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t worse. We will definitely stay here again. It hit all the marks.

For the price I would have expected the rooms to have been wiped down and vacuumed between guest. There was quite a bit of deferred maintenance, but what was more disappointing was how dirty the room was. The room had clearly not been vacuumed with food and other chunks in the carpet. The chair had chocolate smeared into the upholstery. The walls showed signs of dirt drips. There was toothpaste on the walls and every surface in the bathroom. I did let the front desk staff know that the room had not been vacuumed or wiped down properly and they did not apologize but they did send a cleaning crew who did not wipe down the area, but did vacuum.

Have always wanted to stay here and finally had the opportunity. The rooms smell musty, the heating greats were full of lint, pet hair and trash. We were afraid to turn on the heat. The sheets were dirty. At breakfast the ketchup blew up ALL over me and no one really helped us, and breakfast wasn’t even comped. The ketchup was old and fermented so it was an explosion. The night check in gave different information than the morning and wasn’t much help with where are rooms were. It was really just a disappointment overall. Wont stay again. Needs an upgrade for sure!

There was a convention meeting between an entrance and the Restaurant where I was confronted by another guest asking me all sorts of questions which I thought it was extremely inappropriate and very rude.

Beautiful facility with many options for dining plus a full spa. Salishan is a great ace to decompress and relax.

Dirty room, stinky, cheap cheap. worst than a one star hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else. Disgusting.
