Number 15 Ocean & City View Villas

Good large apartment with shared pool. This is well equipped and comfortable. All the space is a good size and offers quality furnishings. There is a good outside space for sitting in the sun, with great views over Funchal and the port. The pool is not heated, but I am sure in the summer months, it would be great to use for cooling down in the hot days. The location of number 15 is just to the north of Funchal town, so it can be walked in 15 minutes, but the journey back from town takes you up steep hills, so not ideal for everyone. We walked into town every day and got taxi's back. This cost about €5 - €8 (t's not a fixed rate). Even when the taxi took the same route, the cost seemed to vary. We used the taxi rank by Continente Supermarket, which is then a 4 minute journey back. Be aware that some taxi's charge an extra €1.50 for a shopping bag!!! The only criticism we had for number 15 was the barking dogs. It was relentless on some days and would continue through the night. I know that Louise has tried to get some action taken and I hope this is successful, as it was a problem for us and we have a dog.
