Clearly, staff morale is not good. Upon checking in on Sunday around 10:30 PM after a long drive, front desk person ignored me, then took a call as I was standing and have been standing for awhile. Asked for end room, closer to pool as my daughter loves swimming. Gave us a sandwiched room up on the third floor. Vinyl covering on chair almost completely ripped out with stains. Asked front desk for a new chair. Said “all” chairs are like that. Asked neighbor if their chair was like that. Showed him our chair…”no.” Went to front desk to let her know about inaccuracy of her statement. Said she only said “some” of them are like that. Upon reading reviews, sounds like this has been an ongoing unaddressed guests complaint. Seems like front line staff are just left holding the bag and management not giving them support to a simple solution…replacing an unsanitary and potentially hazardous chair. This is s Hospitality business that is not very hospitable when it comes to added value for its customers. We love our Country Inn in Prineville, Oregon but this one is disappointing.
