1900阿特維塔民宿(1900 Artevita B&B)

The room is so pretty and the host is nice. But the heater doesn’t work well so it is cold at night.

Vi hade underbara dagar i Florens! Det är cirka 20 min promenad in till Palazzo Vecchio, DUOMO, Uffizierna och så vidare. Skön och vacker stadspromenad men också med möjlighet att ta buss utanför om du vill spara benen. Tre trappor upp och ingen hiss. Bra att veta. Ingen frukost men tillgång till te, kaffe, vatten, kylskåp och liten balkong. Mycket lättillgängliga i att svara på alla möjliga frågor på WhatsApp Skönt med AC på rummet när det var så varmt.

Property was in the quieter part of city about 25 min all from bustling centre. Enjoyed the area with easy bus access to city and train station. We were told that someone would welcome us at the scheduled arrive time but had to wait in the searing heat for over half an hour. Air conditioning was not very effective and there was visible black mould in the room. Internet did not work for the second night of our stay. Was critical as we were trying to book onward train travel.

We had a great stay at 1900 Artevita. The host was super friendly and nice. There was a fridge, plates/cups etc and some coffee/tea for all guests to use. There is a supermarket just around the corner. It would have been possible to buy breakfast coupons from the host to a nearby cafe (for a croissant + coffee type of breakfast) but we opted to just buy some breakfast things from the supermarket to have in the room. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station, in a nice and safe neighbourhood right next to the Santo Spirito neighbourhood with lots of great restaurants. It was easy to walk to all main sights from the apartment. We got extra pillows on request and the bed was comfy! The balcony was a nice extra. There was a lot of traffic right outside the building all through night - this did not bother us as we are used to it, but might be a nuisance for someone else.

Staying at a B&B that doesn't do the Breakfast part was a novelty. The premises is on the 3rd floor with NO lift. So bags and your nightly post dinner climb is up 3 flights. Accepting all that, it was adequate EXCEPT paying $150 per night for what was essntially a room is far more than warranted.

The staff / proprietor were very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful in securing us a taxi since we did not have the apptaxi app which now seems to be indispensable in Florence.

I liked this lodging as it was authentic and different than staying at a corporate hotel. I also lived the breakfast place she sent us to

B&B trovato per caso. Abbiamo trovato personale preparato e che ci ha messo subito a nostro agio. Struttura in posizione strategica per raggiungere il centro anche a piedi. Struttura carina ed essenziale nei suoi servizi. Sembrava di essere a casa. Consigliato. Ci ritorneremo. Un grazie alla signora Shaila.
