阿斯特拉鄉村套房飯店(Astra Village Hotel Suites)

The hotel is about 5 minutes taxi ride from the airport making it really convenient. The rooms are clean with everything you need. The pool is great and the sun loungers very comfortable. You can watch incoming planes landing from the pool. People tend to put their towels down before the pool opens, which can be frustrating and means waiting for a lounger if you don’t do that - Tip: if going in July (it was 33 degrees) go to the beach first and then the pool around 4/5pm and you’ll get a lounger and quieter pool. Hotel is within walking distance of both Ammes and Ai Helis beaches which are immaculate. The water is clean and clear. We would definitely return.

Wat een geweldige plek waar hospitality hoog in het vaandel staat. Geweldig personeel, mooi en lekker eten, en dito wijnen. Schone kamers en elke dag schone handdoeken. Prima airco die echt wel nodig was. Handig dat ze een mini market hebben en strand op loopafstand. Jammer dat er niet opgetreden wordt tegen die malloten die 's nachts al jun ligbed claimen voor de volgende dag.

We returned to the astra for our third stay in kefalonia. We love the area as it's so quiet but also gives my wife her "fix" of airplanes as the hotel is located quite close to the airport. As in another recent comment, the hotel would be better suited to adults only as the pool is not really suited to children plus the play area is small. On a number of occasions, we heard kids being shushed by other holiday makers. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and many of the 65?of them have sea views as did ours (Room 121). Poolside is relaxed with very comfortable sun beds. If you are on half board, the evening meals can be a bit "samey" with a limited choice on the menu. We chose to eat at a favourite nearby taverna on three evening's, so overall the astra evening meals were tolerable but not the best. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Lunch choices are good and cooked fresh and were very tasty. The bar is well stocked and is run by the lovely Sylvia. Good choice of drinks and cocktails. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We also hired a car from the hotel for 2 days which was convenient and very well priced. Personally this hotel suits us very well and we're booked to stay here again in 2024. My recommendation for the owners is they should consider allowing those on half board to select a lunch or evening meal each day. Perhaps also a reduction on the ala-carte menu costs if people choose to eat from it instead of the half board choice that evening.

Een mooi hotel/appartement. Rustig gelegen en erg schoon. Erg vriendelijk personeel en goed eten zowel a la carte als van het buffet. Het eiland is minder toeristisch als bijvoorbeeld zakynthos maar met erg mooie stranden en een paar leuke plaatsjes om te bezoeken. Een echte aanrader naast Myrtos beach is Antisamos beach. Lekker loungen op de ligbedden en kristalhelder water met kleine zwermen kleurige visjes. Wel een auto huren als je het eiland wilt ontdekken. Kan allemaal via het hotel geregeld worden.

buona posizione vicino aereoporto ma non fastidioso. Ottima pulizia camera e locali comuni, camera ampia e con posto cottura.Bellissima ampia piscina Discreta prima colazione a buffet. al limite del pessimo la cena a buffet con piatti di carne e pollo riciclati per diversi giorni.

We travelled as a family of 4 in May 2024 and had SUCH a lovely stay here. It’s a very small and quiet resort and hotel - but that was exactly what we wanted and expected. Mainly couples, and a few families with small children. There isn’t a lot for kids to do here - but there’s the pool and a couple of swings and we came prepared with activities for the evenings. Our room was impeccably clean, and cleaned every day. A small kitchenette was present (yes behind wardrobe doors) but this was a bonus for us - it meant we could have lunch in the room and keep snacks. The pool area is stunning - and has the comfiest sunbeds ever!! We were half board, and to be honest given the reviews I was getting quite concerned! We were very pleasantly surprised. Breakfasts were good - mainly continental style with cereals, toasts and pastries but a small selection of typical British cooked breakfast items were available. The only criticism would be the tinned fruit - a fresh fruit platter would have been so much better. Dinners were also good. Given it’s a small hotel the selection isn’t huge. However there was always 2 meat options, a fish option, a vegetarian option and a vegan option as well as two of a plain potato/ rice/ pasta dish, plus cooked veg and bread. A plain salad area is also present and a cheese/ mixed salad area. I am a strict vegetarian who follows a plant based diet 90% of the time. There was always food I could eat here and it was tasty! .The vegetarian and vegan food was kept completely separate from meat and seafood, pasta, rice and potatoes are also kept separate and veg. The plain salad is kept on its own table away from anything else. Having been to many hotels where it’s all next to each other has hindered what I can and cannot have. This hotel does this right!! My husband and daughter thought the food was excellent (meat eaters) but my 6 year old is a fussy eater and is a typical nuggets and chips child - and he did struggle. I noticed whilst there a lot of kids struggling with the food and parents buying toasters and chips. I would suggest the hotel considering adding in a small ‘kids’ area because this did seem to be an issue. The hotel staff were all friendly, approachable and seemed to know who all their guests were. They all worked so hard. TUI rate this as a 4 star. I would say it’s a solid 3 - which is what the actual rating is. On this basis I cannot fault it at all. Would like to say Thank you to all staff and Vanessa at the shop That we came in contact with during our 2nd visit. We were well looked after. the place is clean, food is ok always find something to eat. lovely place to chill away from every day stress. Going back home feeling better than when we arrived. Not far from airport, lovely walks along seafront and countryside to village. More for Adults than children. This is why we like it. It has not got a Kids club and no child section in pool. But this visit we felt ashamed to be English. On 2-3 nights Kids were running round Shouting banging doors etc this was after 10pm at night .Also walking in and out of restaurant with food one boy picked pieces of Melon no plate and walked out. Parents should be supervising these kids. They have no manners. A woman picked a bread roll up sniffed it and put it back. Another woman came walking out of pool through reception wet somebody could have slipped on the floor. Also Guests are told not to feed the cats but were doing so even in the restaurant as well. Also parents should make sure the hotel is child friendly before they arrive. Staff work very hard to make sure our holiday is a good one. Hopefully our next visit will be better.

We booked Astra Village as we were attending a wedding on the island. On arrival, all seemed lovely. The following morning, breakfast was basic but ok. The room was clean but beds uncomfortable and barely any space for clothing for a family of 4 so we were living out of suitcases. Dinner was ok the first night but after that it was pretty much the same every single night - awful for a weeks stay and not to mention the lack of choice for children, Infact, no choice for children. The drinks machine was continuously broken allowing only sour cherry flavour juice. Advertised with a play park, it consisted of 2 swings which then were unhooked and taken away. Also a children’s play room with toys which doesn’t exist. Entertainment - one night there was a band and that was it. Children were told off for jumping in the pool. Most of the staff are really lovely, apart from 2 ladies who were rude. We booked half board and were with friends who booked all inclusive - god were we glad we didn’t bother with that option! Not worth the money at all as the all inclusive is very limited. Even chips aren’t included if you need something for the kids! This hotel is not child friendly. Would we return? Absolutely never. The best thing about this holiday? The sunbeds around the pool. Not quite the holiday from hell but certainly not the best either. I wouldn’t waste your money on this place. The hotel is located in a very derelict area, nothing around so have to rely on transport if you want to get around. Also - on check out our friends asked for a bottle of water who were then refused! Absolute joke. Kefalonia itself is beautiful, especially down by the harbour.
