庫南公寓飯店 - 住宿加早餐(Culane House Hotel)

Due to Lift breaking downing at our home and having arthritis and heart disease (angina) we were placed in this 'hostel' by the council. We looked at the website it claims to be a 4* place with lovely photos of the rooms and tea facilities. My word on arrival no receptionists had to look for a door bell to summon them. Explained we had been sent here by council, the person asked for I.D and the council letter we tried to explain we have no access to our home and wasn't given any letter it was arranged over the phone via the council. The person wasn't very helpful at all, had to struggle up a flight of stairs. Told if we went out for food we needed to be back by 22:00 else we would be locked out good job I wasn't called out for work issue. Considering we didn't get there till 21:05 we felt rushed. Got to the room it was filthy the light coloured carpet was stained and black in places. The decor was peeling in places. Beds were broken or material on divan base damaged. No towels but to be honest couldn't use the shower as no hot water. mentioned to the person in reception about state of bed and no towels it fall on 'deaf ears'. Bedside lamps we had 3 one bulb and lampshade between them. The tops of units were dirty with burn marks on them. Went to put a charger in for the phone the whole unit moved exposing electrical wires. Avoid this place it doesn't even deserve a 2* rating.

From the warm welcome to the wow factor bedroom to the gorgeous bathroom. The room. Was massive luxurious and immaculately clean. Breakfast was cooked to order and nothing seemed too much trouble. The team were friendly and informative. Well done keep it up

If you're looking for a getaway in Edinburgh, then look no further! We chose Culane House B&B based on the price and we were not disappointed! When we arrived in our room, our first word was "wow" - couldn't believe we had such a beautiful, spacious, clean and modern room for such a good price! All staff were attentative and couldn't be more helpful if they tried! We stayed for 3 nights - the bed was SUPER comfy, we had netflix on the TV, hair dryer / straightners / ironing facilities, tea & coffee facilities and breakfast every morning - options included cereals / pastries / oranges & banannas and then something cooked i.e. full breakfast although I opted for poached eggs on toast most days (also ask for veggie sausages as they were lovely!) We walked (most days) into Edinburgh centre, took about 25 / 30 minutes although there is a bus stop right outside that also takes you directly to the centre. We had a wander round Leith one evening and found lovely pubs / eateries etc. Overall, I would 100% stay here again when visiting Edinburgh! Thank you to the lovely staff who made our stay even better.

Stayed at Culane House Hotel for 1 night whilst visiting Edinburgh and going to theatre. Booked through Booking. Com for £54 B&B for the 2 of us. What a bargain! Exceeded our expectations in every way. Room was amazing and huge, Bathroom was just as big with massive jet shower. Cleanliness was fantastic. Breakfast excellent. Hosts very friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Bus stop right outside Hotel to take you into centre, with a bus every 10 mins. Free parking both sides of road outside. Stroll through park to The Shore with lots of pubs and eating places. Wish we had been staying longer, most certainly will be back.

Great place to stay. Clean and spacious with a friendly welcome. The rooms are well laid out with everything you need. Breakfast is good. Easy access to the city centre on the no 1 bus Will definitely use again. Ideal for couples and business needs

It was an honor for us to spend our vacation in the Culane house! the staff is extremely friendly and nothing is left to be desired! the rooms are awesome! we were really more than satisfied and this accommodation will be our first address on our next trip to Edinburgh! thanks for everything, we'd love to come back!

Back in August, I booked an anniversary trip for my family at this hotel for October half-term 2021. We 'secured' our rooms - and a good rate - via *********** Last week, I was contacted by them to say credit card needed updating. I did this - 'successfully' - within minutes of getting the email. But oddly, 4 days later, I got another similar message: card needs updating. Again, I did this 'successfully' within minutes. And I messaged the hotel directly to confirm my desire to honour the booking. The following day, I got a message saying booking was cancelled as hotel couldn't obtain payment. I called them directly. 60 times. Over 4 days. Nobody ever picks up the phone. Seriously, try it. I emailed them directly. 3 times. With supporting info. Nobody ever replies. I contacted ***********, who phoned them and emailed them to support my booking. They received no response from the hotel. I contacted my bank. They confirmed that (1) Both my cards were clean, no blocks on them, and healthy balances, and (2) NO attempt had been made by the hotel to obtain payment. The cards were never declined. A quick check of Tripadvisor confirmed my suspicions that others have had the same experience with these people. It's clear that the hotel has simply ditched us in favour of another (later) booking from someone prepared to pay more for the dates I had 'secured'. The 'declined card' message is a fake reason for them ditching our booking. As a consequence, I'm having to book last minute accommodation at a busy half term holiday, with little choice, and vastly inflated prices. We're committed to the trip having booked flights and attractions, and will now be many hundreds of pounds out of pocket due to the shameless, greed of these people. Good luck if you manage to stay at this hotel, but be under know illusions about how unscrupulous the owners are.

friendly helpful staff. Clean spacious room. Good location. Free parking. Excellent transport links to city centre.

The room we were allocated (18) was lovely: extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was enormous and really beautifully done out. Parking is just on the road outside the hotel, but there was plenty of it. We had specifically requested a quiet room and there was no noise. The hotel is situated across the road from a lovely park, it was really nice to see so much activity, such as families playing together, sports teams training, people running etc. No complaints about our one night stay, just a few things that would have further enhanced the stay, for example: I'd have liked a light over the mirror above the dressing table/desk, a bin in the bedroom and a few more toiletries (one small shower gel and one small shampoo). Also, whilst the breakfast was lovely, the portion size was very small. It was a really lovely place to stay and we would definitely go back.
