Spent two nights here in a cabin, and we wished it was longer. Negatives were: Bed mattress could use replacing. Gopher got in the house- need a screen door! Wifi was supposed to be included for two devices. We lost the one inch square they print the wifi code on. Asked for a new one and was charged $4 for each device for each day. Wasn’t happy but not the end of the world. Pool hours were only 11-7pm. That wasn’t published anywhere I could find. it meant we never got into the pool, which was the reason we booked this location. Cabins have a few minor rough edges, scratches here and there, stairs to the back door a bit crooked, back door sticks, shower door needs to be sort of lifted as it’s closed etc. minor stuff. It’s a cabin. The GOOD: . Compared to a fancy hotel, it might not stack up, but compared to other cabin rentals, it’s incredible value with terrific amenities. Furnishings are decent, comfy, and sturdy. Attractive neutral decor in grey, black and white. Great Adirondack double chair/table combo on the deck. So comfy and cute! well stocked kitchen- all pots and pans, even some bake ware, proper oven, plates, cutlery , glassware etc.. bring oil, salt and pepper and all other spices. Coffee and tea provided. (someone stole the table knives- only 2 left. Please restock) Plenty of linens -comforter blankets, towels, etc. good pillows, Sofa bed decent to sleep on- actually comfortable. Beautiful grounds . Gorgeous location right on the river. River side campsites looked gorgeous. Almost unique in the area, there are many well shaded camp sites, as well as some open ones, suitable for large rigs. Showers and toilets easily available for small rigs and tenting . Laundromat on site- very nice perk. Canoe rentals. Wood for purchase. Dumping for sewer for rvs, water and electric hookups Friendly staff, everyone has a smile all the time. They try hard to please. Quiet. No parties or yelling and hollering at night. (Some might not like, but for non partners, very nice!) Little store isn’t hugely stocked, but had the family camping essentials to help you when you run out of things: bacon, eggs, butter, milk, s’mores, snacks, ice, pop, juice and milk, basic hygiene supplies, you get it. Prices are reasonable for the cabins. Idk about camping site prices. The ugly: the roads into the resort we’re heaved and had holes which I worried would damage my vehicle. Hoping this was not the norm, but result of a storm or something, I would go back. It has a good atmosphere. Fun, everything you could want is available, although there are fees for use of many of the amenities .

We are in southern Alberta at a golf tournament and have caught covid… we have called ahead to tell them we will not be coming. Ross creek campground in Medicine Hat were very kind and cancelled our reservation and refunded our money while we are staying there and told us to travel home to take care of our health… but unfortunately DINOSAUR TRAIL RV RESORT is planning on keeping 100% of our 5 day stay… Are you kidding me?? Who does this?? They said we probably just changed our plan and are trying to get out of our registration?? We have stayed there more than once and have enjoyed our stay… We were entered into a tournament at the golf course down the road which we can not play and would have loved to stay and play. We have checked and the campsite has lots of sites available so is this just a way to for them to make income without giving any services?? I am sad that people have ruined this for people who are really sick 😷 And very disappointed in Dinosaur Trail RV resort and there so called rules, we will be contacting Visa to see if they agree with us, and return our money… charge a fee but really …100% it is not right Because covid is still a big issue… rethink staying or booking at this campsite!!!

A highly anticipated trip quickly turned into devastation when the resort manager carelessly ordered me and my family to leave the resort shortly after our arrival! When I had made the reservation, the manager's wife had told me that I could check out our site when we got there, which is what I did before making my way to the office to check in. Angry buddy in his golf cart caught up to us to repeatedly lecture me on the rules of the resort, - that I have been to before and happen to have a membership to. As I continually tried to tell him that I am well aware of the protocol there but that I had obtained prior permission to check out the site, he told me and my family to leave the resort immediately. Absolutely no care whatsoever that we had travelled 3hrs just to be there and enjoy our membership, as we had done in the past! Summerhill Resorts (the new campground owners) needs to fire this guy if they hope to salvage their reputation. It's a Family Campground. - It's Supposed to be Fun!! Luckily, we were there in September when it's much quieter and I was able to get a spot at another campground in town despite the fact that I pay over $900/year for the right to camp at Dinosaur Trails. If Darcy is still the manager there in 2024, book at your own risk and plan to walk on dinosaur eggshells. While that might sound like fun, - it is really NOT any fun at all!!

Met with family to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. Had 2 camp spots and other family had booked the expensive cabins. They were told they had to ***** all the bedding before they left or they would be charged another 50 for cleaning! They were very expensive for what was in the cabin(Atco trailer). The camping spots were close together and the yellow line dividing them was not clearly marked. A guy was asked to move his truck which had a roof top tent because his ladder was over this invisible yellow line. The people next to us had 3 spots and as soon as they were set up the guy in the cart was there because his truck tire was on our side of the line. They were upset and we told them they could park there whole truck on our side of the line. We just had a tent and there was lots of room for his truck tire over this invisible line. Our cousins had a beautiful spot for their fifth wheel across the road from us. The most upsetting part was when we all got together for supper at their spot and immediately the cart was there making sure we all had registered. There was 17 of us and this was around 5pm. Half were staying at the overpriced cabins and the rest at the overpriced camp spots. So yes we were all registered and then he said one of the lawn chairs which was at the firepit was over the line. We moved it which ment your feet were almost in the pit. So either they should move the pit or make spots bigger. It is a beautiful location but the constant patrol by the cart makes it very uncomforable. Maybe his time would have been better spent emptying the campground porta potties which were always full! We had stayed here years ago and loved it but our families will not be back!

We read the Tripadvisor/Google reviews just a couple of days before our trip and felt very scarded about the comments about the new management. It was too late to cancel so we proceeded with the trip. Based on the reviews, we knew we had to make sure we followed the rules so we felt we were walking on egg shells when we arrived. Having said that, our experience ended up being a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Maybe it was because we didn't have any confrontation with management, or we were just lucky, but we enjoyed it so much that we wanted to go back the following week (but there was rain in the forecast). We'll share here some things we didn't know and might help others. At night, the place is very dark, can't see a thing, so bring enough flashlights. This is actually a good thing because the stars are amazing when the sky is clear :) The bathrooms at the end were condemned, so we had to walk alllllllll the way to the front entrance to use the facilities but the bikes came handy for these trips. The sites are VERY close to each other so there is not much privacy. The washrooms are cleaned twice a day. The showers are warm and exactly 6 minutes long for a $3 coin. The store has many products handy, even milk! The night activities (movie night, bingo, etc) and the pool kept the kids busy and happy. The lady in the front office/store, that also runs the bingo night, was super kind and patient. On day one, a man (in a golf cart) came to our site and noticed we had 2 cars parked. We explained that we were just unloading but would park the 2nd car outside as soon as we finished. He was ok with that, there were no arguments or bad attitude at all. One night there was an incident. A friend of us and her kid were walking by it when it happened and described it as a very heated argument between several adults, including at least one woman. Our friend was so scared that she look for shelter in the bathroom facilities wait until the situation was under control. We heard that the authorities wouldn't force the group to leave because they were drunk but they packed and left the following day. No issues afterwards. Was it scary? Yes. Did management or the number of rules cause this? Probably not. This can probably happen anywhere. We saw the staff sometime after nidnight, they were holding the front (probaly still stressed about the altercation) and still very kind with us. Again, this trip was a great experience for our family and we will go back again! The only reason we are not rating it as 5/5 is because the sites are too close from each other, and the condemned bathroom facilities. Other than that, it was great!

We recently stayed the weekend at this RV resort. Fortunately we were booked into a nicely treed area.. It was once of the quietest camping experiences we have had.. even though the park was relatively full. The swimming pool (too bad it wasnt heated or at least a little warmer) was a nice option for the grandkids on a couple of evenings after we returned from the outings during the day. It's a little more money to camp, but we felt it was worth the cost... We enjoyed our stay and would do so again.. Probably in summer 2024!

We are respectful campers we LOVE Drumheller our usual camping spot was unavailable, so we decided to try something new and stay at Dinosaur Trail RV resort. From the start the site was not as expected or advertised. We felt policed and uncomfortable by staff our entire stay. Roads were bad and I bottomed out my car trying to get to the office to check in. On top of their long list of rules they add other ones as they see fit. Do not stay here! The Drumheller Institution would have been more pleasant stay.

We were a group of families booked here for a child’s birthday and did not have the greatest camping experience. We have been camping in Drumheller for the past 4 years and camp all around BC, AB and SK so have experienced many different campgrounds. Good - location is nice and along the river. Fully treed for good shade in most sites. Bad - Camp spots are very close together with zero privacy you are basically right on your neighbors fire pit or doorstep. Expensive They claim to be a family friendly park yet they yelled at our children multiple times for making noise and having fun. Our neighbors (unrelated to us) who were a family of 4 put up a second tent to store bags food etc and they forced them to take it down in a very rude manner. Pool is ice cold as are the pool showers. We read the extensive list of rules and abided by them but I still disagree that balloons shouldn’t be allowed as our son was sad he couldn’t have balloon decorations for his 4th birthday party. The ugly - I understand they have an extensive list of rules in place and it’s a family campground but they are above and beyond strict. They do not handle situations professionally. Just one example, our group of 8 were sitting around the campfire talking, right beside our own three trailers with sleeping kids in them - no music, (we politely shut down the guitar before 11) or yelling, and they came over swearing at us (using the f-bomb) and instantly threatened to phone the rcmp and throw us out while our children slept. Not one warning, “you’re being loud” (which we weren’t) not a “shut it down guys, go to bed”, just instant eviction. Some of us tried to calmly have a conversation with the security and were automatically accused of being rude and disrespectful. There were others having fires around us that we could also hear visiting and they seemed to target us and were on a power trip. RCMP showed up and kindly asked our group to put out the fire since it rightfully is private property so we did. We talked to multiple neighbors a ways down after the grand altercation with security and police and they didn’t think we were being loud at all and also didn’t agree with how the situation was handled. After going to bed we also heard security then hassling another site who were not at all being loud and they caused a lot of unnecessary drama which also woke other campers up nearby. In my opinion the security and management is causing these problems not the guests. They are very demanding, confrontational, unprofessional and demeaning to many guests. If you’d like to have a normal camping experience with kids and a guitar around the campfire I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. 11 Bridges Campground and Hoodoo RV Resort are friendly, enjoyable campgrounds. If you are 65+ and want silence at 10pm then this would be a fine stay just make sure you don’t veer out of the rules at all. I’m sure they’ll reply to this review defending and justifying themselves but I jus

Firstly I want to say we are seasoned campers, We are not rule breakers, love to keep places better than when we found them, have camped the last 18+ years with no problems. This weekend we had a situation I've never encountered in my life and when returning home it just got worse. We were camping at past time family favorite spot. Upon arriving We learnt new management has taken over and this spot is not what it use to be. The price tag has inflated insanely, The care to the campground has dropped drastically and many of the amenities we were looking forward to were shut down (the bathroom block nearest our campsite, as well as Pool). They also now have a manager Darcy who can be found on his golf cart going around harassing campers. Darcy, must of heard my comment of upset when my husband jumped in our truck to inform us the pool and bathroom block were currently closed because this man was on a mission to make my life hell the minute we arrived. It started, straight from check in, he was driving his cart and I was following behind to get to my spot when he stopped abruptly in the middle of the road and yelled at my youngest son whose window was open telling him to "tell you're mom to learn how to drive!" I thought I heard wrong even after my son repeated this to me, so I rolled my window down and I asked him politely what the problem was and he aggressively told me I was speeding. I was a shocked by this comment as I was following behind him so assumed I was going the speed limit, I apologized profusely and let him berate me about how the speed is 5KM and I'd kill children driving the speed I was (Possibly 8-10km which I take full responsibility for my ignorance there). That night my son had surprised us, he popped a small 2 person tent up on our site and within 5 minutes Darcy was stomping through our site chest puffed out looking like he wanted a fight, Darcy ignored my 3 teenage boys, he ignored my husband he came straight into my face and tore into me telling me to move our second car and get that tent down or he would have it towed, I offered to pay double for my son's small tent and car to be there or to buy any other stall but Darcy wouldn't have it, he walked away to the site next to us to yell at them about the placing of their tent. I decided to go tot he front desk and the ladies were lovely, I explained tot hem how we had come from Leduc to just escape the fact my mother had just died and we wanted to mourn in peace, how my son who was celebrating his 18th birthday had surprised us and ho we ignorantly thought a small tent would be ok. We got a second campsite, that Darcy claims they had no idea we even did this, though we have 2 park passes from one form each camp site. Then next morning, bright and early I went with my son into town. I actually said to my son "Don't forget 5KM this man is out to get me". We did drive 5km. My son's friend bought a bong in town, one that he was looking at as we drove back into the campsite *Jus
