蘭辛西萬楓飯店(Fairfield Inn & Suites Lansing West)

I had a last minute travel emergency and I found this one after looking. This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Mold on walls, weird smell everywhere. The hotel employees are beyond disrespectful. If I could’ve picked any other hotel, I would. And I should’ve.

Shout out to Dorris at the breakfast buffet! She made everyone feel at home and well cared for. She was very quick to fill our needs. The hotel was clean and quiet. Many of the fixtures, as well as the carpeting, were new. I would have given it 5 stars were it not for the mattress. It was soft, lumpy, and had big sags. It was more like a hammock than a mattress!

The front desk manager Tisha was very kind and helpful. Only place we could eat that night due to late hour was Applebees about a mile away. Had breakfast that was acceptable in the morning. Beds comfortable, room was clean, but what sticks in my mind was the friendliness of the night manager.

There was poop in the toilet and trash on the floor. When I called the front desk, people calling on the phone were more important than the guest in the hotel with an issue, and kept putting me on hold. I do not have any confidence that this hotel is properly managed and adequately cleaned.

This hotel cancel reservation without sufficient notice. We ended up struggling to find a lodging place at night. I would not recommend it. they can not find alternatives. I regret booking this hotel.

This hotel does not deserve the Marriott brand. The stench/odor that other reviewers mention is MOLD. I’m an asthmatic and my husband a home inspector and the smell of mold was so strong we had to leave and book elsewhere. It’s a shame because this used to be our go-to hotel before the pandemic. I’ve heard the new owners are not interested in investing in this property but just want to make money in its ‘as-is’ condition. Should change the name to Motel 6 (better yet, Mold-tel 6!). I’m going to report this substandard hotel to Marriott as it does not deserve the name.

The first room we were assigned was at the rear of hotel with a weird odor and torn carpet. When asked to be relocated we were moved to front side of hotel to room with no odor, but still just average appearance. Staff very helpful in move. At bed time when I was looking for a place to charge my phone I found Kleenex and a water bottle behind the nightstand. As a nurse, a clean room is my greatest expectation in any hotel. So no I will never to back.

We stayed there because we were flying out early the next day and was greeted by the friendliest person - Mr.Willis. As we were leaving early the next day he made us all a breakfast bag as breakfast would not be open. He was so sweet and we so much appreciated it. With it to stay there if you are flying out and the hotel is surrounded by great shopping and restaurants.

I book a stay from July 31-August 13,2022. This place charged my debit card 5 times for the same stay. I now have to wait 5 to 7 business day before the pending charges drop off. The facilities are old and in need of updates. It was very clean which is why I did not mind staying here. But when they took my money and all I get is hung up on when I complain. BEWARE!!!
