佐圖之家民宿(Haus Giotto)

Really lovely, spacious and clean accommodation. The owner, Gina, was just amazing and so warm and welcoming with great suggestions for things to do in the area other than the shark diving we had come for. We hadn't even thought about our evening meal and arrived fairly late on the Easter Friday, but she phoned around to book us in for a fantastic meal at Afrikanos. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. Can't fault our visit at all and would highly recommend.

We were friendly welcomed on arrival, Everything superbly clean. The a**osphere was warm and we immediately felt at home. The breakfast was very good. We most surely will recommend the guesthouse to family and friends. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

Gina and Otto were wonderful hosts. Their facility was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. The location for my purposes was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. Breakfast was more than adequate and the cooked breakfast prepared perfectly by Otto.

Mit einem herzlichen Willkommen wurden wir bei unserer Ankunft von unseren Gastgebern Gina und Otto begrüßt. Wir hatten von Anfang bis Ende einen absolut tollen Aufenthalt, deshalb möchten wir uns allen vorherigen Bewertungen uneingeschränkt anschließen. Es hat alles wunderbar gepasst. Einziger Negativpunkt: mit 2 Übernachtungen war unser Aufenthalt bei Gina & Otto in De Kelders (wunderschöner kleiner Ort) definitiv zu kurz. Da die Walsaison leider so gut wie vorbei war und wir die Wanderung zu den Klipgat Caves kurz vor dem Ziel abbrechen mussten, gibt es mindestens 2 gute Gründe für einen erneuten Besuch im Haus Giotto. Danke Gina und Otto für eure wunderbare Gastfreundschaft.

Die beiden Gastgeber Gina und Otto haben uns einen sehr herzlichen, wunderbaren Aufenthalt beschert. Wir haben uns rundum gut betreut gefühlt, haben viele tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Wanderungen bekommen und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Das Zimmer war mit Balkon und Blick auf die schöne Bucht, einfach optimal gelegen. De Kelders ist ruhiger und entspannter als Hermanus, man hat aber tolle Möglichkeiten bis hin zur Walbeobachtung. Von Gina und Otto wurden wir wärmstens empfangen. De Kelders ist eher ein ruhiger Ort an der Garden Route aber in 20 min ist man im belebten Ort Hermanus. Vom Haus Giotto lässt sich innerhalb von 5 min zu Fuß an Strand wandern wo wir einen Wal mit ihrem Kalb sehen konnten, es lässt sich am Strand lang nach Hermanus wandern was wir leider zeitlich nicht geschafft haben, da wir nur eine Nacht bei Gina und Otto verbracht haben. Mit den Inhabern lässt es sich tolle Gespräche führen und Sie haben viele Tipps bezüglich Restaurants und der generellen Kultur auf Lager. Eines unseres Highlight in dieser Unterkunft ist das Frühstück am hauseigenen Esstisch und das von Otto perfekt zubereitete Omelette. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Danke, dass wir bei Euch sein durften.

Only stayed for one night, lovely room with a balcony and hosts were very welcoming. Local pub 5 mins walk and nice area. Didn’t have time to take some more walks which was a shame.but would definitely stop again if I am in the area.

This stay is hands down one of our most memorable in our recent visit to South Africa. I took a friend and my mom and from before we reached Gina and Otto's lovely house we were contacted and welcomed. The rooms are spacious, cosy and views of the lovely Cape were outstanding. We can see why they love what they do. The breakfasts were just amazing..Otto is the best. A personal touch is everywhere. Thanks for making 2023 and beginning of 2024 the best ever. We would love to come back gor more. Thanks Gina and Otto! Xx

This was a very nice experience staying at Gina and Otto’s place, my room was big and perfectly cleaned, the prepared breakfast was also very good. I was lucky to stay and discuss with them about stories and things to do in the nearby cities: they were very helpful with me! I highly recommend staying at Haus Giotto!
