The location is amazing right on the beach! Joan was so sweet & helpful. The floors were so dirty & water pressure was not good at all in the shower. You have to pay for breakfast which used to be free & everything was closed.. there pool & restaurant. But very nice place

Check in took 15mins despite there only being 3 people in line. The front desk clerk did not advise of a large elevator for the suitcase carts around the corner...so we fought to get the suitcase cart and ourselves in the small elevator. After we struggled to get out on our floor, a very nice housekeeping person advised us of the larger elevator option. There was construction on the beach directly in front of the hotel but it is winter I understand. The room was nice but the check in process was terrible.

The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice being on the beach side for the price. The room was clean and I didn’t see any bugs. The faucet handle in the shower was broken but could turn the water off and on. Then you had to mess with it for several minutes to get the right temperature for the water. Someone must have been frying food in their room because it smelled like gas station fried chicken on the floor. The pool looked very clean but didn’t use it. They have pretty good lighting in the parking lot.

Overall good stay for one night. Thinner walls (had an adjoining suite room but was traveling solo) and echoey hallways meant I could hear every conversation and crying baby. Bed was comfy and rooms were clean with good TV and bathroom amenities. I love that this hotel was close to the beach. If I go back in the summer I’d like to try the pool and outdoor restaurant which looked nice apart from the chilly weather. Staff was kind and property was well kept.

Not great. Old hotel and it has not been well maintained. Elevators are sketchy. Beach was under construction (re-sanding) 24 hours a day. Had a giant excavator beeping all night. Area around the hotel is all but deserted. Doesn't help that Corpus Christie is a bit of a pit.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, it's right on the beach. I highly recommend booking online rather than paying at the desk you will save half of your money going online using ******* or something similar. When I first walked in they were going to charge me nearly $400 for a two-night stay on the rooms that overlook the beach, so I went online and got it all for $233. The food is really really good but really really pricey. It's got great locations as far as shopping or restaurants. We will be going back to this location again.

Staff are not friendly or welcoming. Never a ‘good morning’ etc. Room was OK at best; no closet, nor was there anyplace to hang your clothes. There were three fairly small drawers to use for clothes. There was no safe for valuables. This was an ‘accessible’ room, but a closet/some way to hang your clothes and a safe seems reasonable to me. My wife had breakfast in the dining room. She ordered two breakfast tacos. The server was not friendly when taking the order or when bringing it. After taking the order it was 30 minutes before the order arrived. Other members of our party had the same experience the following day at breakfast. There are two small elevators for guest and one larger elevator for staff use. Only one of the small elevators was operational. Guest are able to use the larger elevator. The elevators are slow. This is billed as a ‘resort’. It did not have the feel of a ‘resort’. The only reason we stayed at this location was to attend a beach wedding of a family member. Our overall experience was such that we will not be returning.

Stayed 2 nights. After first night we were forced to move to a different room on 6th floor from 2nd. New room was not ready when they said & we were late to plans we had made because of it. We had our dog with us which made it harder to take him out. New room would not cool. They gave us 2 fans but they were loud. Could not sleep well because room was hot & I got hives from the room being hot. Lady at front desk was rude. Outdoor/poolside shower & bathrooms did not work. Would have been a great stay if we did not have to move from original room.

The pool was dirty! The hot tub was at least a foot low on water and dirty. I had to go tell the front desk how low it was. The lights on the arbors around the pool had only half the bulbs burning, Only 1 elevator worked. We stayed a couple of times per year before Wyndham took over. So we seen the changes for the good and the bad. The TV service was horrible, constantly downloading. What amazed me was you put a note on each of the toilets that says to hold handle down until the toilet fully flushes. Remove the sticker and have the maintenance team ajust the flapper & fill valves correctly so it flushes like it should. The lobby, bar, parking lot. and pool areas were clean and very presentable. With a little work it will be a much nicer place to stay. Thanks Wayne
