I stayed for 2 nights on a trip through Europe. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral. What I liked: The great location. The friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast with lots on offer. Easily accessible. The bed was comfortable. What I didn’t like: The room I was given was tiny with no window. It was so so hot and sadly that affected my sleep. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work and just circulated hot air. However, the kind man on reception offered me another room, but I was already settled and for such a short stay didn’t want to pack everything up again. Regardless of that, I’d be happy to stay here again and the price I paid was incredibly reasonable, being so close to the centre of the city.

辦理入住手續可以更快,以稍微禮貌的語氣。最小的房間有足夠的空間過夜,浴室可以更有功能,有更多的存儲選擇,淋浴很棒。第二天早上,當早餐“送”時,令人不快的驚喜就來了。早餐在紙箱裏遞出來時,要按字面意思來取。裏面有兩個三明治(火腿和臘腸),一個煮硬的雞蛋和水果。如果那不符合你的口味-祝你好運!不要誤解我:我可以吃糟糕的早餐,我可以(過度)支付好的/半途的早餐,但對於14歐元,我希望有超出素食、素食或正常水平的選擇。如果你希望將來改變,我也必須讓你失望:接待員很清楚這個提議是一個騙局。

There was no air conditioning (AC) even though the hotel advertised as having it. Their excuses was that it was too cool at night to operate the AC for the hotel even though it was actually very warm outside. Translation: the entire hotel is either on heat or AC, they are too frugal to allow use of the advertised AC, or their system is outdated and does not actually work properly. Very hot and stuff room. The odd thing was is that the hotel lobby seemed to have AC. The hallways and room were uncomfortably hot. Upon checking in there was only a little bit of toilet paper was left on the roll. Fortunately there was an extra roll provided. Only a few sheets of Kleenex were in the box. Also, the hand soap dispenser was nearly empty. It seems not much care is given to the rooms between guests. On our last day the housekeeper knocks on the door early in the morning even tough the “do not disturb” sign was hung on the door. It was a basic room with furnishings that included a desk, a small round table, 2 small nightstands, a desk chair, and one sitting chair. There was no usable refrigerator, just a mini bar. The was only one suitcase rack situated in the closet. We had to use the sitting chair for our other suitcase. The beds were not too comfortable. Also the pillow case did not completely cover the pillow, so your head might rest upon the exposed portion of the pillow where the lasts hundreds of guest placed their heads. Bathroom was OK but a bit smelly. The shower had low water pressure. Some water will leak out under the shower door to the floor. Stepping over the high tub with a slippery shower floor is a bit precarious. Internet speed was 3.81 Mbps in both upload and download, with 8 ms latency. The location is near the chocolate museum and a good pizza and pasta restaurant is nearby. The cathedral is less than a mile away. At almost 400 euros a night, it was very expensive for a poor experience. Perhaps HN stands for “Not Happy.”

酒店很乾凈，很有氣勢，高檔大氣上檔次，應該是四星酒店的標準，定的比較早，定的晚可能會沒房間或者漲價。

Für einen Kurzaufenthalt in zentraler Lage ist dieses Haus hervorragend geeignet. Kein Luxus,aber sauber und funktional mit freundlichem Personal zu einem guten Preis.Auch das Frühstück ist für 11€ eine gute Option. Das hauseigene Parkhaus nutze ich wegen der Enge nicht mehr. Wer nicht gerne flach schläft,sollte wie ich mit einem Kissen anreisen.

We had 5 rooms during Orgatec Exhibition. Hotel was new, employees were kind, breakfast was good and in general it was a clean hotel. It is not in city center but really easy to reach Rudofplatz or Heumarkt with 2 Tram Lines and it takes only 5 stops. Also there were some restaurant and supermarkets around for our needs. Therefore we enjoyed our stay in hotel. Only thing which was negative, you need to inform reception each morning for cleaning rooms. Otherwise it was not cleaned. (we are not informed about this during check-in so we learned that after first day) Despite we informed that for each day, second day of our stay 2/5 rooms are not cleaned. Except this, it was all well clean

Das Best western liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Autobahn, ist daher sehr gut und schnell erreichbar. Trotz der verkehrsgünstigen und damit auch verkehrsreichen Lage ist von dem Verkehrslärm wenig zu hören. Die Zimmer, wir erhielten ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Businesszimmer, sind groß und stylisch eingerichtet. Ungewöhnlich: das Waschbecken befindet sich im Schlafraum und nicht im Bad ( Toilette und Dusche). Leider schließt die Tür zum Flur nicht richtig, so dass man jeden Gast, der draußen vorbei lief, mitbekam. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht ausprobiert ( 14 Euro p.P.). Der hoteleigene Parkplatz kostet 11 Euro, was man sich aber sparen kann, indem man in der Seitenstraße direkt neben dem Hotel parkt.
