Good location, easy check in, great staff, spacious rooms good rates overall I recommend

I have stayed at Footscray motor inn numerous times & I've honestly never had any issues at all. The spa is great, the rooms are clean & perfect sizing for how ever many people are staying. Reception are wonderful. The location is perfect whether you have a car or on transport the tram & a few different buses right at the doorstep train station within walking distance. Plenty of choices for shops if needed. Only thing I'd suggest that could be better is maybe a microwave & or toaster. Also some cutlery & crockery but that's all.

There was supposed to be a extra bed put in the room. It was not put in there after 2 requests which meant 1 adult and 1 child had to share a single bed. The guy on reception told me on phone before arriving that he would put one in there. Did not happen and not good enough. Will not stay there again.

GOOD: * Spacious room and bathroom (High ceilings) * Good air conditioner * Comfortable beds * Next to Tram railway * 2 seater couch was a bonus BAD * No toaster * No milk * Bar fridge too small / needs defrosting * No microwave oven * No Hair Drier * Stairs to room are too steep and dangerous (Probably not to building code) * No towel rails in bathroom

This motel is nothing like the slick promotional photos. The room looked rough without bed any covers, the air conditioner did not work, and there were no spare blankets. The trundle bed provided for an extra child was very uncomfortable. If you're desperate for a room, and it happens to be very very cheap when you book, then it might be a fair transaction, otherwise I recommend avoiding.

One terrible night, my child couldn't sleep all night in fear. The room was noisy, dirty, there was no safe door lock. Next to the room they had an argument and we were very scared.

Filthy curtains and shower curtain, damaged old furniture, damage on front door, only 1 chair (sleeps 3), no wine glasses. Shame I cannot add my photos to this review

I had to sign a form stating I would be charged $200 if I smoked in the room. That's fine. Went to the room and it stunk like smoke. They put us in a new room that was so dirty, the lounge was all stained it was disgusting. The young man at the counter was as helpful as a hip pocket in a singlet.
