20度蘇德精品飯店(Hôtel 20 Degrés Sud - Relais & Châteaux)

Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

Un endroit au charme fou, loin des grandes structures qui n usurpe pas son appartenance a l famille relais et châteaux, tant pour l accueil, le service et la gastronomie.un séjour au top pour fêter nos 31 ans de mariage !merci pour tout !!!!!!

J’ai profité d’un spa package avec ma mère pour son anniversaire et j’ai été pour le moins étonné de la prestation … pour ne pas dire extrêmement déçu ! Le Spa est vraiment très mal entretenu, les coussins de transat sont sales, la salle de massage était tout aussi sale ! Vraiment indigne d’un hôtel 5* ! Quand au service … j’attends encore mon coca au bord de la piscine après m’être levé pour commander car personne viens nous voir pour savoir si on a besoin de quelque chose … Je ne parle pas des toilettes qui propose des mouchoirs pour s’essuyer les mains et dont la propreté laisse également à désiré. ( abbatant des toilettes cassé et j’en passe … ) Bref cet hôtel ne mérite plus à mon sens 5*. Un rapport qualité/prix qui laisse cruellement à désiré.

20 Degrés Sud bénéficie sans contexte d’un charme indéniable. Ambiance « coloniale » réussie, accès privatif à une petite plage, différents lieux où se poser - reposer. L’accueil est comme de coutume à Maurice souriant et prévenant. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très agréables. Pourtant, ce n’est pas au niveau d’un 5 étoiles. La restauration n’est pas au niveau et le service approximatif en regard d’autres établissements de Maurice. La piscine est bien petite (pas plus de 3 personnes en simultané) et la salle de sport indigente. Peut et doit mieux faire pour justifier positionnement et tarif.

Le restaurant est d'une très grande qualité et le service impeccable. J'ai renoncé à trouver un défaut à cet endroit et j'y reviendrai. Certes la perfection n'est pas de ce Monde mais pour le prix la qualité le service sont tout à fait remarquable. Cela faisait bien longtemps que je ne m'étais pas autant senti bien dans un hôtel. Buchung: Die Buchung des Hotels habe ich via TUI vorgenommen. Zum Buchungszeitraum gab es 8.000 Payback Punkte on top zur Buchung. Der Preis für die Secret Suite betrug inklusive Vollpension für 4 Nächte: 2.837 EUR inkl. Flexrate. Anreise: Angereist sind wir mit dem Mietwagen von Le Morne aus. Die Anreise dauert ca. 1,5 Stunden, die Fahrt war sehr einfach und die Route führte über die Autobahn via Port Louis. Check-in: Der Check-in war mega freundlich, wir wurden direkt an der Bar begrüßt mit Welcome drinks, die so lecker waren, dass wir direkt eine zweite Runde bekommen haben. Dazu gab es feuchte und kalte Handtücher. Wir wurden im Anschluss durch die kleine aber sehr feine Hotelanlage geführt und direkt zur Suite gebracht. Das Gepäck wurde vom Auto direkt in die Suite gebracht. Für Hotelgäste gibt es kostenlose und bewachte Parkplätze. Zimmer/Suite/Housekeeping Die Secret Suite ist auf 2 Ebenen, im unteren Bereich befindet sich das Wohnzimmer mit hochwertigen Holzmöbeln, einer 2-er Couch und Blick auf das Pooldeck mit Sitzbereichen. Eine Treppe führt in das Obergeschoss, wo sich das Schlafzimmer mit Waschraum befindet. Im Schlafzimmer ist zusätzlich eine große Eckbadewanne, die wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Der Wasserdruck ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und ganz fein eingestellt. Die Toilette ist ein wenig klein, funktioniert jedoch perfekt und verfügt über ein kleines Fenster. Verdunkelt wird die Suite über Verdunkelungsgardinen und Raffrollos, die etwas zu viel Licht für unseren Geschmack durchlassen. Da wir jedoch früh ins Bett gehen und früh wieder aufstehen, war dies zu verschmerzen. Das Housekeeping ist perfekt, die Sauberkeit in der Suite tadellos, es gibt einen Morgen und Abendservice für die Reinigung und Turn down Service. Zusätzlich liegen kleine Schokoladen oder Bonbons auf dem Bett. Hausschuhe werden vor das Bett gestellt, der Pyjama ausgerichtet, Dauenkopfkissen gibt es auf Bestellung im Kissen Menü oder auch andere Kissen. Die Minibar im Wohnzimmer ist mit allerlei Getränken und sonstigen Dingen ausgestattet, der Verzehr ist kostenpflichtig. Zusätzlich bekommt man stilles Wasser ohne Berechnung bereitgestellt. Der Pool hat eine tolle Größe, um ein paar Bahnen zu schwimmen, die Wassertemperatur beträgt ca. 26 Grad, die Sauberkeit des Pools ist top und er wird jeden Tag durch den Poolboy gereinigt, ebenso das Holzdeck. Die Sicht im Garten ist durch eine Mauer begrenzt, so dass hier eine 100% Privatsphäre geboten wird, man hat jedoch keinen Fernblick oder Strandblick, was uns im Vorfeld klar war. Strand im Hotel: der Strand ist klein, aber fein. Wenn man von der Weitsicht von Le Morne kommt, dann ist der Blick auf die Bucht nicht ganz so schön, jedoch ist der Sand frei von Korallen, im Wasser befinden sich einige Steine. Durch die geschützte Bucht ist die Brandung sehr gering und kommt nur durch vorbeifahrende Boote ein wenig auf. Nous avons effectué un séjour du 28 juillet au 3 août 2023 au 20 degrés sud. L’équipe est très accueillante et le cadre de l’hôtel magnifique. L’hôtel se situe au bord d’une petite plage dans un cadre intimiste loin des grands complexes hôteliers. Amrish le manager de l’hôtel a été aux petits soins tout au long de notre séjour. Le petit plus de l’hôtel: la piscine du secret spa, un véritable lieu pour se relaxer au calme. Nous remercions une nouvelle fois toute l’équipe pour son accueil. David & Anthony
