小屋飯店(Cottage Lodge Hotel)

Have just returned from a 2 night stay for our friends birthday. On arrival the car parking space sign wished him a birthday which was a nice touch. Once in the hotel we were taken into the snug for coffee & cake which was nice. We then were shown to our rooms. They were lovely with amazing wooden bedsteads & headboards which are sourced/made locally. The room/ bathroom was spotlessly clean & you had everything you could need. Breakfast was lovely with lots of different options. On our friends birthday the lovely lady serving played Congratulations by Cliff Richard & we ended up having a bit of a sing song! Lol. Maurizio was a fantastic host & very informative. The rest of the staff were great too. My only small criticism is that it would be nice if the wood burner was lit in the snug as it was a bit chilly & would temp you to stay longer. I would definitely recommend staying here as it’s a little gem. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday celebrations. What can I say. This little gem is truly amazing. From the personalised free parking space, to Maurizio the owner who was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed fresh coffee and cake upon arrival. This hotel has a beautiful atmosphere and is well located in the village, walking distance to the train station and The New Forest on the doorstep. We were upgraded to the Brusher Mills room, as it was my birthday by a lovely lady called Jackie. The room had a four poster bed made from amazing wood which I believe was locally sourced and made. It was very comfortable with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choices. You were totally spoiled. We were lucky with the weather and went on long walks. I would definitely recommend this little gem of a place.

Cottage Lodge is our favorite place to stay in the New Forest, the location is ideal not only for access to numerous walks, but also there’s a great selection of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The location is convenient for the coast,Winchester & Salisbury. Excellent breakfast selection sourced locally. All staff welcoming & attentive. The rooms are very comfortable with each being very individual.

From tea and cake on arrival, to brilliant breakfast, I just can't fault the Cottage Lodge Hotel. With a super cosy room, I had one of the best nights sleep in a very long time! I love that you need to book your slot for Breakfast - it means everythings cooked to order and the dining room isn't crowded. Lots of locally sourced and eco friendly herbal teas, plus soaps and shampoos from local forest based suppliers. Thank you to the staff for making my two night stay just perfect.

This is our 4th visit since we first discovered this wonderful place in 2018. Always a warm welcome from the team. Lovely breakfast and delightful rooms. Ideally situated for lots of different activities such as walking and cycling. A short walk from the railway station if you fancied a day out ( we went to Winchester). Looking forward to our next visit !

We really enjoyed our 3 nights in Cottage Lodge Hotel. We were particularly impressed with their eco friendly policies. Having individual, labelled parking spaces is also a genius idea. The staff were extremely helpful at all times. Each bedroom is unique, extremely comfortable, imaginatively designed & spotless. The breakfast was wonderful. The 'White Tails' restaurant is a must to dine in. Personally managed by Ramsey, who could not have been more helpful with my somewhat 'mad' dietary needs. The food was unusual, delicious & beautifully presented. The hotel & restaurant are very conveniently situated in the heart of the beautiful New Forest. Many interesting, historical and attractive places are within easy reach.

I highly recommend Cottage Lodge Hotel, a beautiful centuries-old building just a short walking distance from the Brockenhurst train station. I stayed in the nicely furnished Little Alice room and it suited me perfectly, with plenty of wall hooks, surface area, and more conveniently located power outlets than I’ve had in some modern hotels. It was always nice to be greeted by the smiling friendly staff at breakfast, which included lots of delicious options. Maurizio was a joy to talk with and gave me great suggestions for walks in the New Forest. Also, everyone is very environmentally conscious. I will stay there again the next time I’m in Brockenhurst.

A wonderful stay. Welcoming host with a pot of tea and a delicious slice of cake on arrival. Very comfortable bed and we slept really well. Breakfasts at Cottage Lodge are exceptionally good and all dietary requirements are covered. Would certainly recommend.
