We have stayed at this property several times in the past. Have not been since 2020. Just pulling up the exterior made it obvious they have not kept it up. ****s everywhere, all throughout the decorative rock. The lobby was hot as Hades. No AC throughout common areas. Flies. Gross. All we wanted to do was go enjoy the beach. No ice for our drinks. None. No apologies. (Found out the next night that within 6 feet of the ONE AND ONLY guest ice machine was another behind a staff only kitchen door that was FULL. One would assume in a hot as heck hotel when a guest comes to the front desk asking for ice the staff might have allowed us to use their “hidden” ice machine. Nope. We had adjoining rooms. Our AC worked at abt 50% capacity. Other room great. No microwave in our room but one in adjoined room. No luggage shelf. Bathroom was gross. Mirror had splatters and between the door and tub was disgusting with lots of personal hairs 🤢 and dirt. Clearly that area never gets touched. Spiders in the room. The breakfast attendant worked her butt off, but very clearly another 1-2 employees were needed. Juice/water machine completely inoperable. As breakfast finished she came out with warm bottles of water for people. Again- she worked very hard but was in a position she could not succeed in. Out of 90% of food, silverware, juice, broken toaster… Obviously stuff gets eaten by a hotel full of guests, but clearly the amount of guests was not factored into timing and amount of food. Pool closed (NOT on main page of the hotel- should have made it clear when booking). Workout room was ok at best. Ac ripped outta wall on 3rd floor. Large ********* dispensary across the street. Overall it was bad. Made two separate phone calls to assure our rooms were adjoined (staying with kids), and when we arrived we had to request a 3rd time. Mobile check in was a joke. Absolutely did bot work. I checked in 11pm the night before (as it sent an email I could and get my coveted mobile key as a gold elite guest). We literally received that almost 24 hours later LONG after we had to go to the front desk. Also- don’t bother requesting for service requests. Zero extra anything as requested weeks in advance. NO extra pillows or blankets even after asking at front desk. Would have packed them but turns out didn’t need as the room was hot! Also- don’t bother mobile chatting. Even though it looks like ot works. Still waiting 4 days later for a reaponse. 🙄 I would love for this hotel to succeed as we like the location, but unless they make some serious improvements, fixes, we will not be back. Extremely expensive for what we received. Think along the lines of a budget no tell motel for 250 a night! Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
