Am Pavillon 床和廚房

Clean rooms, great location for early or late night trains but next to the tracks so on a warm night (or if you want air) you feel as if you’re sleeping on the tracks themselves. The owner was not around but became incredibly rude and downright abusive when I wrote a truthful review after my stay. He also tried to charge my credit card fraudulently claiming that we have to pay Anita check out fee, although the check out time or any fees involved were in ever stated in the contact/booking information. Oh and do not leave any less than stellar reviews or you will suffer “consequences”. Cannot recommend at all

This is a very good value for money accommodation centrally located in Bern. Expect not a full-serviced hotel but a nice Bed (& breakfast, although full breakfast is not served). It's clean and pleasant, I had a big room (201), garden, kitchen, living and dining room were nice! Be aware of a few things: Bathrooms are shared between 3 rooms each floor, toilet is not separate. In 2nd floor you need to climb into an old fashioned bathtub to shower. This, and the fact that you will need to climb some stairs may make it inconvenient for some. And there is noise from the train station across the street; personally I don't dislike train sounds, but screeching noise made me plug my ears; windows had to be fully open in the hot summer night (no AC). But altogether, this is very worth the HALF price compared to a much smaller hotel room I had downtown the days before! I'd especially say it's a good choice for longer stays!

Wenn es 4.5 Punkte gäbe, würde ich die wählen, aber 4 sind schlicht zuwenig. Man nächtigt hier in einem charmanten 1888 erbauten Häuschen mit gerade mal 9 Zimmern und 3 Gemeinschaftsbädern, was sich locker ausgeht. Der ganze untere Stock mit Küche, Wohn- und Esszimmer sowie einen grandiosen Garten steht den Gästen zur voller Verfügung. Das ganze Haus inkl Badezimmer sind penibel sauber, die Zimmer hübsch und zweckswig mit liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Gäste freundlich und rücksichtsvoll. Dass es kein Frühdtück gibt: das gibt es in bern ja an jeder ecke. Einziger wehrmutstropfen: lärmempfindlich darf man bei dem Gebäudealter und Standort nicht sein. Dafüe geht es kaum zentraler. Und Preis-Leistung, da kann man für Bern auch nicht meckern.

Groot huis, wat als soort hotel wordt gerund. Verwacht geen luxe hotel. Maar gewoon schone kamer. Tegenover mijn kamer douche toilet. Ruime kamer, met heerlijk bed. Beneden grote ruimte waar je onbeperkt koffie en jus Orange kan drinken. Ontbijt was niet beschikbaar, en daarom was de prijs van de kamer lager. Ik was er om per trein Zwitserland te verkennen. Is echt geweldig. En van perron naar je kamer in 4 minuten was voor mij ideaal. Eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk, en indien nodig voor mij tenminste zeer behulpzaam. Ben soms best kritisch, maar een prima verblijf waar ik volgend jaar graag terug kom

Am Pavillon may be the worst B and B experience I have ever had. Between the musty, ancient towels, the old and perhaps not the cleanest sheets and the racist and deceptive owner - visitors to Bern should stay far away from Am Pavillon. The house overlooks the main Bern train tracks but this isn't mentioned in any of their advertising. It was hot when we were there in June but if the windows were open, there was constant train noise. And there was no AC or fan, so with the windows closed the room was overwhelming stuffy. The towels and sheet were gross and were so ragged that they clearly haven't been replaced in years. But the worst part was dealing with the owner. He told us he refuses to rent to certain ethnic groups and just tells them that his B and B is full. This admission was shocking. We booked for 2 nights but he charged us for a third. While our plans did change, it was clear that we had only stayed two nights and still he charged us for three and refused to refund the money he charged my credit card without permission. He became abusive over email with me when I requested a refund for the night we were charged but did not stay. Stay away from Am Pavillon B and B. Yes, it is less expensive than other places in Bern but it's not worth the savings.
