During our visit to the southern coast, Villa Bentota was our final accommodation, and I wish we had stayed there a few days earlier so we could have extended the stay. It was the most amazing experience we've had. There is literally nothing to complain about. It's a beautiful Bawa-designed villa. The staff was highly professional, and the room was beautifully maintained. The amenities were well arranged. Their starting room category is gorgeous, and we also really love their unique Sri Lankan cuisine. The beach behind the property is the finest, and it is uncrowded. Thank you for helping to make our stay unforgettable.

My family and I stayed at the villa bentota on Friday through Sunday for my sister's wedding and we booked out several suites and rooms as well as the garden for the wedding ceremony. Our experience was truly delightful, the entire villa is beautiful, the locations is incredibly scenic, and the staff were wonderful. We were treated like family the entire time we were there, and the service was both warm and professional. Everyone who attended to us was lovely, but I want to specifically thank Chandana, Rachitha, Minidu, Indika, Kumara, Janith and Roshan. They made our stay comfortable and memorable, and I can freely recommend a stay at the Villa Bentota for anyone looking to relax in a scenic locale or host a wedding that they will never forget.

Absolute Empfehlung! Die Anlage mit direktem Strandzugang ist wunderschön und der Service und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist außerordentlich. Auch das Essen ist eines der besten - man sollte auf jeden Fall das tagesaktuelle Seafood Gericht probieren. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Приехал сюда 22 марта. Отель отличный, еда вкусная. Отель довольно большой, но при этом людей не много. Пляж потрясающий. Отдельно хочется сказать о персонале : реагируют на все очень быстро и решают все проблемы( у меня были недочёты по уборке,решили все за пару часов),отдельно хотел бы выделить Chaminda, Ruwindi и Dilum - классные ребята.С любой проблемой к ним,решат все быстро.

Superb staff and customer service and lovely food. Grounds and buildings are brilliantly kept and access to the beach is quiet and private. The train proved to be a lovely feature. The beach is quiet and the sea warm. We loved it and will return. Chamod and Niluksha made our stay.

Our first stay at Villa Bentota and a really wonderful experience. We had the Mohotti Suite which was the original walauwa on the property. Designed by Geoffrey Bawa the hotel and grounds provide a beautiful environment for relaxing and enjoying the great service ,food and pool. A bar set up on the beach at sunset made for a perfect place for a pre dinner cocktail. Highly recommend a stay here if visiting Bentota. Geoffrey Bawa's garden is just across the street and Bevis Bawas "Brief Garden" is a 10 minute drive. Both worth visiting.

We stayed here for three night in the middle of February and it was so relaxing the food was very nice loved the room slept very well. The staff was very nice couldn’t do enough for you it was nice and quiet until the train came past which I loved. Will come back

Our recent stay at Villa Bentota will stay with us forever. It was one of those places that hit every single high note for what we wanted. It is the embodiment of heritage boutique - the design and architecture by Geoffrey Bawa is unique and delivers interest wherever you turn.  The service is outstanding. It is clear everyone works as a team and strive to ensure guests are happy and want for nothing. All Villa Bentota personnel were professional, friendly, attentive and efficient. They appeared to take great pride in being employees of the hotel. Our room, suite 4, was delightful. Roomy, clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We loved our huge balcony overlooking the gardens, coconut palms, and of course, the railway line. Loved the railway line - a real feature! The food and drinks, and accompanying service, is excellent. Yes, you pay a bit more for the restaurant meals and bar drinks, but everything about Villa Bentota is an experience and the rewards are in the staying there. Breakfast is fresh, great in variety, and prepared to order. My wife is coeliac and was provided with gluten free bread and all meal ingredients were carefully checked before being served. Ruwan and his food and beverage team were wonderful, with incredible attention to detail at all times. Thank you to the whole team at Villa Bentota. You made for a very memorable stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here. The staff were excellent & friendly. Our room (suite 6) was very comfortable & quiet, situated at the far end. The property had several zones, beautifully furnished for relaxation. The pool area was wonderful with good sized shady umbrellas & large towels. Cold water was brought to us regularly. The shop was actually very interesting with local art & handicrafts & we did buy a few souvenirs! Breakfast was delicious & well worth ordering Sri Lankan curry & hoppers the night before. The dinner menu was a little limited but we enjoyed all our meals, especially the curries. We enjoyed the individuality of the hotel & the train running through the bottom of the garden didn’t worry us at all-it was fun to see local people going on their journeys. We only walked on the beach once. It was beautiful but the humidity & heat kept us near the pool.
