皇家加拿大小屋(Royal Canadian Lodge)

A bit outdated in the decor department. Lowly lit old fashioned lobby area. Room had an exceptionally small window keeping the room darker than normal without the lights on in the daytime. NOT a value coming from a Lifetime Marriott Titanium Member?

The general layout of the room was nice. Nice to have two sinks. Odd that the closet was in the bathroom and the safe at such a low level. Having a fireplace in the room that actually heated the room was nice. Appreciated the blackout shades very much. The room was very quiet even though it was near the soda machine. There was one day we didn't get maid service. The service and food in the restaurant were horrible and it was noisy even with only two other guests. The first time we pulled into the garage, our car windows fogged on both the outside and inside it was so humid in there. It got better when we used the AC. The garage was too hot.

Notre séjour a été formidable. Nous avions la suite junior et le confort est parfait. Seul bémol, le lit un peu trop mou, sinon tout etait agréable. Le staff est aussi super gentil et très aidant. Nous recommandons et surtout y retournerons.

It’s a nice property. Jack at the front desk was great as was the breakfast staff. However, our room reeked of smelling like diesel fuel! We hurried from having our bags delivered then out for dinner/evening. It still smelled in return… Wish I’d asked for a room change! With a diesel- induced headache this am, I notified Jack. He apologized, said MANY other complaints were lodged. A generator during construction is apparently to blame. (I wonder HOW LONG this has been going on!) We were not comped, not even our breakfast! (No diesel smell while dining.) I would avoid!

The Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff is an average hotel that offers a decent stay. The hotel is located near the downtown area. The room was okay, but it had some minor issues like a flickering light and a slow drain. The staff was polite, the breakfast buffet was satisfactory, but not very varied or fresh. The Royal Canadian Lodge is a suitable choice for anyone looking for a basic and convenient accommodation in the Canadian Rockies .
