Wow! What a place! I stayed in a beach villa, looking straight out to sea. I was doing a bit of work, but loved the wildlife around the vilka, deer, monkeys etc, which were amazing distractions. Food was great too - I stuck to local curries, soups, and desserts, and was never disappointed. Taking a towel to the nearby jetty, diving into crystal clear sea with colourful coral below was very special

Dit was onze favoriete plek tijdens onze reis op Bali. Als natuurliefhebbers boekten we vooral The Menjangan vanwege de fantastische locatie in het West Bali National Park. We hadden er niet op gerekend dat we die week ook zo in de watten zouden worden gelegd. Pure luxe! We boekten de Experience Package en mochten genieten van al het moois dat dit paradijs te bieden heeft. Wij gingen o.a.: - Snorkelen bij Menjangan Island. Een van de mooiste snorkelplekken die we al zagen. We hebben bovendien 2 schildpadden gespot! - Kayaken. Je ziet de visjes uit het water springen terwijl je voorbij komt. - Vogelspotten. Onze gids had enorm veel kennis van de vogels die er leefden. - Heerlijk ontbijten en dineren tussen de bomen of aan het strand. Wees niet bang dat je met honger van tafel gaat, want de porties zijn royaal. Soms moet je oppassen voor slimme apen die je broodje willen stelen, maar dat maakt deel uit van de charme. We waren blij om te zien dat The Menjangan ook begaan was met de natuur errond (bv. metalen drinkflessen ipv plastic flesjes op de kamer). Het aanraden of verkopen van koraalvriendelijke zonnecrème bij een snorkeltrip zou nog een mooie toevoeging zijn. Tenslotte willen we ook graag onze complimenten geven aan het personeel. Wat we vooral onthielden van ons verblijf is dat - overal waar we kwamen - we vrolijk werden begroet en geholpen. Ze onthielden zelfs dat we de reis maakten om onze huwelijksverjaardag te vieren. Dat maakte van een al geweldige ervaring echt een top-ervaring!

The Menjangan is zalige plek om tot rust te komen na een drukke rondreis in Bali. Wij verbleven 4 nachten in de prachtige Monsoon suite. Zo midden in de natuur hadden we bijna een Safari gevoel, de natuur is er helemaal anders dan op de rest van het eiland. Met een open jeep werden we vlot naar de toren of naar het strand gebracht. Ontbijten of dineren op het houten terras, in de mangrove; boven het water van de zee was fantastisch. Het eten was er elke keer opnieuw verrassend lekker. De mensen van het resort waren allemaal even vriendelijk en behulpzaam; niets was hen te veel! Snorkelen vanaf de Jetty kan perfect. Je start direct tussen de koralen vol tropische vissen. Een boottocht naar Menjangan Island om daar met een instructeur te snorkelen is een echte aanrader: het water is er ongelooflijk helder. We gingen ook snorkelen bij Bio Rock. Dit is een schitterend project waarbij elektriciteit koralen sneller laat groeien op metalen constructies. 1 minpuntje: daar het zwembad zich midden in de open natuur bevindt, kwam er op een middag een grote varaan even pootje baden. Dat was schrikken! Maar niettemin: proficiat aan het personeel van The Menjangan: keep up the Good work 👍

Avec ma fille nous avons réalisé une balade a cheval dans le parc naturel. Nous avons donné notre niveau d'équitation et ils nous ont donné des chevaux adaptés. Ma fille à eu un double poney très gentil et énergique. Le miens était un jeune cheval sympa mais qui manquait de travail. Le guide très gentil nous a fait visiter le parc et nous avons vu la mangrove, des singes... 2h de balade très sympa. Les chevaux sont en bel état et bien entretenus. Je valide.

We were heading over to Java and thought we would stay here the night before heading out.Sooo glad we did.You have to pay the park fees because you are in the National Park but its less because you are staying at the hotel.I had booked 1 night in a standard room and on arrival we were upgraded to the luxurious suite which was HUGE.The hotel grounds are basically 3 separate areas with reception and the treetop restaurant in one.200m down the road you had the Monsoon area that we stayed in with rooms all around the pool and the third area is on the beach with private Villas and a restaurant looking over Menjungan Island.At first we were a little concerned about getting around as the beach area is 2kms from the rooms but there was a Safari shuttle bus there everytime and no waiting.We had all our meals down at the beach and will stay in one of the beach Villas next time we go(and there will be the next time).The restaurant on the beach is beautiful and there are deer wandering around,monkeys,giant squirrels and snorkelling off the jetty.You can hire canoes,boat and do tours from here too,The food was good although a little on the expensive side but who cares you are in a beautiful haven.Our room was massive as I have said with a 4 poster bed,beautiful toiletries and soaps included.I liked the lemongrass shower gel so much I bought a litre of it from the gift shop before we left.After breakfast we decided rather than take the shuttle back to walk and so glad we did.This was where we saw all the park life including kingfishers and other exotic birds.2kms was nothing.The staff were great and the reception staff were top class and we were treated like royalty.Personal notes thanking us for our stay.Next time 3 nights in the Villa and do more exploring.We have done Menjungan Island twice before so we just relaxed,Thankyou so much to all the staff for making this a highlight of our trip.Sampai Jumpa Lagi
