The hotel and parks are great, lot of fun, food and entertainment. No complaints there. While I was there they offered my some extra activities for free, if I agreed to a 45min presentation on the membership they offer, it turns out to be 3 or 4 hours long. So I really like the place so I signed up for the membership, I paid half up front and I had about a month and a half to pay the rest if I wanted a 5% discount, if not I had to do monthly payments. So time comes to pay the other half. So people that work at the hotel or whoever has access to the members personal information, they take it and pretend to be part of the hotel and they offer you a better discount. That’s how I and many others were scammed. I contacted the hotel and for some reason I was connected to the executive of reservations not the membership department. Which makes no sense to me. I just want people to be aware of the scam that's going if you decide to become a member.
This new hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to 5th Street, the beaches, and the local community. A+ for location! There is also a beautiful and expansive supermarket right under the hotel to get whatever culinary needs you require. We were upgraded to a balcony room as Bonvoy Titanium,.The price point of the Aloft was also a value, and it is a good bargain in using Marriott Bonvoy points. Javier that checked us in was lovely and gracious, and all staff were pleasant and professional. Aloft is an unusual hotel--one that wants to be a wanna-be hip W Hotel and also a Fairfield Inn for Gen Z'ers. It didn't do either very well, unfortunately. The staff wanted to do well, and perhaps there are still newly opened growing pains that will be worked out. Housekeeping was promised daily, but on 3 out of the 5 days we had to call Housekeeping after returning from the day;'s activities to service the room (which they did right away when called) but this was a big fail. The purified water dispenser in the nice gym was often empty. And generally the upkeep of the hotel is not or was not a priority. It's nice and new and ”hip looking” but metal surfaces and walls by the pool on the 4th floor are rusting already, and little bits of trash on the hallway carpeting remained for the 5 days which showed they didn't vacuum the common areas as often as should be. Room A/C and common area A./C were great! 4th floor pool has city and sea views in the distance and we could often see Cozumel and the cruise ships anchored there in the far distance on most days. I wanted the stay to be great, but it was good.
訪訪客We booked an ocean view luxury room .We were impressed at our first look but : the hot tub didn't work at all ,pay attention in the balcony when you enjoy the sight ,,is not quite safe, the water from the shower is not properly draining. Also they need to update the website ,because is not any restaurant, and they have no beach in front. You can compensate this with the pool on the roof ,nice view ,nice staff. The room was very clean from the beginning, staff very friendly .It seems like in may some algae are ruining the shore so be aware .The hotel is situated strategic ,very close to the public transportation station ,close to the walking avenue ..you can enjoy the vacation atmosphere.Usually I see the full part of the glass ,so I enjoyed our staying.

訪訪客用戶What a great place! The location is excellent. It is right on the main square. The hotel is close to 5th Avenue but it is far enough away so not to hear it. The receptionist, Rocio, was extremely helpful. She even helped us with our bags. Lucas was also very helpful. Super people. We will definitely come back.
this hotel just has everything you need. It’s got a great location just off the fifth Avenue shopping district. Go up to the rooftop and you can see the ocean. The staff are incredible. Outstanding service. The rooms are actually quite spacious and well laid out. it can be a little noisy. Be ready for the sounds of roosters and apparently a monkey in the area. You may hear doors shut down the hall, or guests coming back from the bars, but all in all it’s manageable. I slept with your plugs, so it was no problem. Be prepared for only one key per room. This part was a little hard. With two guests in each room in our family group, we had to coordinate who had the key. Having at least one key per person would definitely be something they should consider. It was also difficult to get extra towels. You will be charged. So just little things like that. Have a heads up on, but not a dealbreaker. We are having a great time!
RRobson IzaiasUm bom hotel em uma ótima localização, terceira vez que hospedo no Illusion, porém dessa vez caiu um pouco o nível! Mas não deixa de ser uma boa opção custo benefício. Localização fantástica.
訪訪客A very quaint and quiet Mexican hotel, close to the action but just far enough away to be peaceful. What it lacks in modern renovations it more than makes up for this in charm. Beautiful rainforest settings in the inner court. La Ceiba Buffet is a good deal for all inclusive delicious food and drinks including a wide choice of cocktails. But above all was the friendly and accommodating staff. Special thank you to 'doorman' Umberto, for all his help as well as Alexis, the charming bartender who always had a smile and a big Hola! Cheers! CDN couple in 70's! We recommend the Tukan and La Ceiba for a 'taste' of real Mexico. 4⭐ PS...the pillows weren't great lol!
