We have had the occasional bear visitor. It's essential to keep the trash can locked in the garage and never leave food in your car or outside. This 5000 square foot cabin sits on 37 acres with AMAZING 8500 elevation mountain views from every room. Get cozy sitting by the crackling fire sipping your coffee. Just a couple miles to the 285 highway and restaurants in Bailey, the Treehouse Adventure Park, the wedding venue, and borders the National Forest. Enjoy a quick hike in the backyard or a long trek in the adjacent National Forest or even hunt during the hunting season. The open main level has all reclaimed barn wood floors, large windows, and a beautiful log staircase. You will enjoy cooking for your party with the extensive island, copper farmhouse sink, 6 burner gas stove, double ovens and BBQ. The second story has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms). The master bedroom has an attached sitting area with recliners and TV, and the master bathroom is currently dated but functional and scheduled for a remodel. The walk out daylight basement features game and exercise areas, and an additional bunk room for sleeping. You will find ping pong, pool table, electronic basketball hoop game, and foosball in the basement. Half baths are on the main and basement levels. This lodge like house has been remodeled in almost every area. In this spectacular house, you will find a few areas that are indicative of a remodel in progress such as some missing trim or drywall needing texture. Even with that the house is impressive. Current beds- 1 king, 4 queens, 3 twins, pack and play (upon request). Dirt road leads from the highway to the house and as such, is bumpy in spots. This is put toward the extra time it takes our cleaner to get all hairs and messes (even the cleanest, well-behaved dogs) along with the longer-term care we need to keep our house immaculate!PARKING/NEIGHBORHOOD INFO:Sunset Haven is located in a friendly, peaceful mountain neighborhood! Less than 200 feet from the front door are hiking trails leading to the neighborhood ponds. Enjoy fishing in the catch-and-release pond in the summer and ice skating in the winter (ice skating shed even has skates and hockey gear for you!) The neighborhood features 200 acres of open space for hiking, biking, and volleyball.There is ample parking in front of the home (space for 3 cars). The home is located on a private easement shared with a few other neighbors. Because of this, there is almost no traffic on that road. We do ask that you be courteous of our neighbors and stick to the designated parking spaces.WINTER:To get to Sunset Haven, you’ll be on paved roads the entire time with the exception of the 100 foot easement (rare for mountain properties!) However we strongly suggest a 4WD or AWD vehicle between Nov-April (Colorado weather can be unpredictable...so you'll just want to check the weather reports and act accordingly).CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:- Check-in is after 4:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am.- NO CHORES HERE! Just lock-up and travel safe. We hope to welcome you back soon!OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:- No AC - but thankfully you're in the Colorado Mountains! Open the windows and turn on the ceiling fans and we promise you won't be thinking about AC!- Quiet hours for the outdoor spaces are between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am.
