Just back from a wonderful stay in Antwerp. We stayed in the Leonardo hotel from 10th To 14th November. The location of the hotel is excellent being a mere 50 meters from central station allowing access to anywhere in Belgium. I stayed here 6 years ago and the rooms have been upgraded to include large beds, a modern shower room, WC and large screen TV. Our room was cleaned every day and the staff are all very polite and English speaking. There is a limited hot breakfast normally eggs and beans with emphasis on a wider continental selection of cold meats, cheeses and breads. About 200 yards from the hotel you will find a good selection of bars and eateries. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Antwerp then the Leonardo is worth considering We would certainly return again 👍
Friendly counter and allowed to go to my twin room 4 hours early. Very clean hotel with towels and water supplied. No kettle but I think this must Bea Belgian thing. The station is opposite but it is 20 min walk to the old town. Fine for me but some may want to be nearer. The walk there is the main shopping street. Overall I think it was great value. As a note to other guests, and I always write this, please be more considerate when talking in the corridors especially before 8am. Whisper, your voice echoes and sound meds like you’re shouting. And don’t allow to doors to slam shut!!

I had a very negative experience with the front desk staff that checked me in this past week. My husband and I booked a stay at this hotel back in April for 4 nights. They sent me an email stating that they weren't able to charge my credit card on the reservation, which made sense because we had forgotten we had just received a new card to replace the expired one. They asked that I look at my account, so they can charge a new card. If I failed to do that in 24 hours, then my booking would be cancelled. Approx 13 hours of receiving that email, I went in and updated the credit card information on the account and sent them an email confirming I did so. When I arrived at this hotel to check in a month later (which was this past week), the front desk staff told me that the reservation was cancelled. I showed them the email that they sent me and the one I had sent to them. I also showed them my original reservation number. They looked into it for a while, but they told me that ultimately the reservation was cancelled so they can't do anything. They were also all booked up on one of the four nights we were supposed to stay there, so they could only check us in for 2 nights (Thurs-Fri). Up to this point, I was confused but I wasn't upset. I understand things can happen, and I was eager to work this out. However, what really pushed me over the edge was the fact that the front desk staff showed no empathy for the situation I was in. I told them that I never received any email that my reservation was cancelled. I even asked if there were any other alternative hotels, as we were traveling from outside the country and did not know the area well. The staff person I was talking to responded with very little attempt at professionalism, and instead told me that we should solve this ”later” as I was holding up the line. I believe her words were along the lines of, ”you should turn around, look at the line.” When I asked her when ”later” would be, she let out a small laugh which was a very confusing response to what I thought was a valid question. This is when I was starting to feel incredulous. I wanted her assistance, but I got rudeness and condescension in return. I tried my best not to raise my voice even though I was getting frustrated, and I told her that I felt I was getting penalized for something that wasn't my fault. Still, there was no attempt to help me with the situation, and I felt like I was being waved away. At the very end of our interaction, the staff person told me that if there is a room that opens up on Sat they would contact me to let me know. I asked how they would contact me on updates (would it be through the hotel phone? My international number? Call, email, or text?) and I received a very frustrated look and a sigh in return, not a helpful response. I am still unsure why she acted this way, when I genuinely wanted to understand how I would be contacted. (And they never actually contacted me... even to tell me they were still all boo
訪訪客Citybox is a functional hotel along Molenbergstraat. It is a 10-12 minute walk from Antwerp Central Station and around 10-15 minute walk to the main sightseeing area of the city. We recently had a good multi night stay and would consider booking Citybox here in Antwerp or one of their sister properties elsewhere in Europe based on our experience. Booking was made through the Citybox website where we found best room rates. Self check-in when we arrived at the property was simple to use, smart card key was issued and we were in our room within just a few minutes. Lobby was large with comfortable and atmospheric seating. There is an eatery on the ground floor which opens early. Second floor had washing machine facility. While there is no front desk, there are staff in the office next to the lift if they are needed. Rooms are spacious with simple decor and furnishing. Bathroom was fine, shower water pressure good. Importantly, bed was generally comfortable. Lighting, heating and wifi all worked just fine. Note, the room is fairly minimalist, no TV, in room safe, kettle, hand towels and other amenities that you usually find in traditional hotels. All is fine if you know what you are getting into with Citybox. We felt, they got the important things right and offered a good stay experience for the room rates being offered and their location in Antwerp.
訪訪客Stayed in the the Hotel Indigo for 2N whilst visiting Antwerp. The hotel is excellently located, within a stone's throw from the Grand Central Station - so ideal for accessing local destinations. The rooms are excellent quality - with good quality furnishings. The only exception to this is the bathroom mirror, which has a light which dangles from cord in front of the mirror, rather than being placed at a spot where the light effectively illuminates your face as you look in the mirror. Fortunately, I always bring my own illuminating mirror when I go travelling, for this kind of eventuality! The service was very good, and I like the touch where you can opt out of having your room cleaned and towels exchanged if staying 2N or more, in return for a free drinks voucher. The price is good also, was certainly among the more reasonably priced hotels in the city. Would definitely return!!! 100%.
訪訪客We spent one night at this hotel while passing through Belgium and I think it's ok for a short stay. The location is good in the sense that it is near the train station and walkable to the major attractions, but it is a slightly dodgy area. The setup is strange - check-in on 7/F and there are only 2 (slow) lifts which means oftentimes you have to wait a bit. Room is well-equipped with a small kitchenette (new and clean appliances), soft comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with Italian rainshower. Breakfast is above average with a good range of good quality options, although we did find the price a bit steep. Walls are paper thin - you can hear everything going on next door. The main problem we had was with the staff. Girl at check-in made a mistake about our reservation and I had to do the payment twice. Other staff were fine but honestly none of the service stood out or felt genuine. Felt like they were just going through the motions and getting everyone in/out the door as quickly as possible. It's a shame because the hotel has potential but the service level is just not up to par.
訪訪客2 rooms connected with a door was a great way to have a group of people of 5 together at all times! Both kitchens had everything you ever needed to make yourself a perfect meal. Oven/Micro, fridge, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker. Fully loaded with tools and dishes! The beds were terrific! Fluffy and smooth. The bathrooms were great, the showers had an overhead faucet and a handheld one. The pressure was perfect. The receptionists were well prepared and very pleasant, and we got all the info for a perfect stay. Only downside with having two rooms was that we couldn't figure out how to make the door between the two rooms open. So we used some clever engineering to solve this issue. We never asked about this issue, because we fixed it with a doorstopper of our own. The price for 3 night stay was very well perfect! Will definitely come back again.
訪訪客Schönes Familienzimmer für erholsamen Schlaf.
