坎布里亞郡公園飯店(Cumbria Park Hotel)

We used the hotel as a base while cycling Hadrian's Wall. Started at the hotel and caught a train to Maryport, stayed again on the way through Carlisle, and then caught a train back from South Shields and stayed again, leaving our car at the hotel. Very convenient location for anyone walking or cycling Hadrian's Wall. Breakfast was a buffet, with plenty of choice. The 3 rooms we had all faced the carpark and were quiet. There was space to leave our bikes inside, which was handy.

Nice, hotel with a good amplacement from the town center. Friendly and helpfull staff. Good cleaning and nice decoration. However I think you should probably give more details about how to get to the parking area. Overall, that was a good experience!

The food for my evening meal was really disappointing. I changed the side of my salmon main to roasted garlic potatoes which came and had been microwaved and soggy yet hard in the middle, the pea shoot topping on my salmon consisted of 1 leaf. There was a fire alarm at 2 am with no presence from hotel staff for over 30 minutes no guest call and people were left outside in the middle of the night not knowing what to do. In the morning as I was running late after very little sleep I tired to call down regarding breakfast several times with no answer on the desk so I left without it. No drinking water in the room in this heat and 2 plug sockets located next to the door on the opposite side of the room to the bed.

Cozy room with comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Hotel has its own private parking and is in a good location for walking into the city centre, yet away from the bustle of the city.

Sadly the Cumbria Park Hotel has got a bit shabby since we last stayed about 4 years ago. The carpets looked dirty and our shower didn't work.

Stayed before a few times but the ground floor room didn’t cut it for me. Hot summer night can’t open windows as anyone can gain access then on a morning the cars start and you hear that with exhaust fumes entering room

The hotel has the potential to be very nice, but is not like that currently. Room 1, looked nice, but the mattress had no springs. On complaining we were eventually moved to a different room, which was a downgrade of quality. Room 2, the mattress was slightly better but needed to be turned around to be slept on. Furniture in the room was damaged and the toilet made a horrible noise after flushing

Great, friendly staff. Couldn't do enough to help us. Breakfast was lovely. Highly recommended.

Good location. A little tired and with bath towels that were only a little bigger than hand and rather worn.
