Not a great visit I was here for awards night. First of all We’re is Austin the Events manager gone! The new manager they have isn’t the right fit seems all over the place no organisation at all. Was rude but didn’t know if that was his attitude The event staff was friendly & caring couldn’t have done a better job. And was lovely to see all the staff again.

Went to a very very impressive wedding at this beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, a few minutes walk from leicester registry office, a very clean and charming large hotel with rooms to cater for any occasion. Could not fault this place and all the staff were amazing, especially Isabella who looked after me like a family member, she deserves a huge pay rise along with all the hard working staff at this great place. Cannot reccomend enough, freinds stayed the night and praised it very highly. Well done thebgrand hotel you smashed it.

Absolutely disgraceful. They are no no longer taking bookings as is now being used to home illegal migrants at a massive cost to the tax payer in a leicester landmark. This was a favourite of mine but no longer it seems. I am honestly shocked but this.

frequent visitor here and you can tell that the staff have been trained to look after people the way they should be. Will visit again. Within walking distance of everything including the Railway station and Nightclubs shopping etc. helpful staff

We booked the Mercure Hotel in February as a drop off point for 3 days break at Easter on route to the South from Durham so I could see the Space Centre, Richard 3 centre etc. we arrived to find the hotel closed and under renovation. Staff produced an email showing the booking had been cancelled - however a search of my mails which I check closely every day and a full check of deleted emails showed I had not received any communication!. At this point the staff took over and were absolutely superb. The General Manager talked with us - lovely guy, and assured us they would help. We were brought coffee and then given an option of alternative hotels. The service was second to non!. It was sad we couldn’t stay as the hotel looked beautiful!. A special mention to Tobias who went above and beyond in booking another place for us and then actually going there with us to assist!. Couldn’t fault them turning a major disaster into a pleasant experience!.
