Terrible terrible place to be !!! The hotel security and front desk were terrible to my friends and I that are part of the POC community. They were consistently checking our key cards and treating us terribly. To all of the white guests there was never an issue. There was an incident with our friends who came to visit in the lobby and they were threatening to kick us all (guests/friends all POC) out after 30 mins. Please do not stay here if you are apart of the POC community. The area surrounding is also sketchy at night. Better hostels around for sure that are cleaner, safer, and friendly. Also racist guests were here as well and screaming at us, but nothing was done to help the situation because they were white !!! Terrible terrible forms of harassment we experienced.

My mom and me booked an one room. It wasn't very big but it had everything we needed. A bed and our own toilet and bath. The breakfast was better then expected. They had some different kind of bread. Not the best but still okay. They had small pancakes ect. All in all really good. Only thing, when we got there, and wanted to ask to put our bags in a place before check in, it was really difficult to get to talk to someone even though they looked right at you.

Very well located with very friendly and available staff. A lot of activities in the lobby (adults and kids). Very cozy and clean conditions. Organization and good variety at breakfast. They helped with all the details we needed for our baby. I recommend the stay

We arrived a little bit early, so we asked the receptionist if we could go in the room anyways. He told us to wait for a short while, but the room was still not ready even around 15 minutes after the normal check-in time. Then he promised to tell us if the room is ready, but after that, we never saw him again. (Maybe his shift was over, but he could have told us something.) Other receptionists didn't let us know either when the room was ready. We finally got our key cards to the room at around 5 or 6pm (the normal check-in time is 3pm). Next day morning we noticed that we didn't get the breakfast tokens, so we had to head to the reception again. On the second morning, we wanted to eat cereals, but it was full of ants. During the breakfast, a crew came to ask us if we have the breakfast tokens and we told her that we already put them into the box next to the entrance. She looked at us very upset, but due to her lack of language knowledge, she couldn't communicate to us, what we did wrong or anything. Neither told us anybody earlier or after about the use of the tokens.

Had a very good stay at this a&o hostel. I must say I was lucky and got a really nice black Friday deal for a voucher which probably was a price mistake because it was incredibly cheap. Had no problems to book the 2 nights using the voucher on their web page. There were many dates available. The hostel has a big area at the reception full of tables, comfortable couches and places to charge. Wifi is free and has no password. There is a luggage room, lockers and toilets on the first floor too. Our voucher did not include breakfast but that's ok. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, temperature good, bathroom also spacious with many amenities. We only had one towel per person soshould dry the hands on your own towel. The location is great near a bus stop and 5 min walk or less to the train station. The only thing is that we did not find any option of public bus going to and from the airport so the option was a private shuttle bus for 10€ per person which I think is very expensive but it is not the hostels fault. It is the problem of Venice.
