I have 30 years experience in Cuba and this is surely in the top ten of negative experiences. First it's an old hotel from the glorious times of Havana. They tried to renovate but without success. The lobby looks ok and the rooms as well on first sight. But the elevator is not working properly. You have to call reception to send you the elevator and they are not always reacting. 2 times I had to walk down from the 24th floor. Yes I am fat and it's probably good for me but I still have sour muscles and it's just horrible. If you want to use the elevator you need hotel staff and the elevator is stopping when and where on it's own will. Then the hotel has no warm water. I don't understand how in a country hot as Cuba they manage to provide only ice cold water in the room. Since three days I am staying here and cannot take a shower. Dont forget I paid 600 Euro for 4 nights. My safe is as well not working and since those three days they were not able to send someone to fix. Any chance of getting some reimbursement. Hahahaha not in Cuba. I know Cuba and you will always find some difficulty. But mostly the Cuban people make up for it with friendlyness and trying everything in there power to help. Here not. And what really made me super angry was the following. On top of the hotel is a discotheque which I wanted to visit with my wife. Since we are here with our 2 years old son we invited our niece of 13 years old to babysit. Guess what? Of course a super unfriendly and arrogant security guy forbid it. She was not supposed to sleep in the room. Only looking for the baby. But this rude person was very strict. With all the bad things going on in that hotel a little bit kulanz I expected. They offered me to book a second room for 300 dollars a night though. I was ready to explode. Like I said: Worst experience in Cuba and please avoid at any cost. They really destroyed my holiday and I am even member of Meliá rewards. I think I will drown my membership in the toilet 🚽.

I stayed at this Hotel few times, even I mentioned on arrival, receptionist was not engaged, out of 6 lifts only 2 are working, the room was not for selling, bathroom conditions was horrible, found hairs on the bed as well as all over in the room, minibar was not working, the view was amazing

Amazing breakfast , the service and the staff very helpful. This is the second time I come to enjoy the breakfast before entering the swimming pool! Thanks a lot JUANA for your attention during our time in the buffet and keep it as clean as usual!

The service is excellent and the people who work at the hotel are very kind and friendly. I recommend it for a family trip or a Friends reunion. The food is also incredible. I love it!!!
