Tandem House is a perfectly-situated sweet little abode; excellent for families, couples, and friends! Very walkable and highly desirable Richmond neighborhood boasts close proximity to all of Southeast Portland's many coffee shops, world-class restaurants, plethora of lounges and bars, and restorative outdoor spaces. We're just around the corner from Clinton Park, which is an amazing outdoor space to take the kids or the pets! We are only an 11-minute walk from the Hinterland Bar & Food Carts, an 8-minute walk to Benbear's Beers and all the food carts at The Lot on Division, a 3-minute car ride to the famous Bagdad Theatre and Pub and all the amazing restaurants, bars, arcades, and public spaces that the Hawthorn and Division streets have to offer! If you're feeling adventurous, a short walk or drive (it's 1 mile away) brings you to the base of Mt. Tabor; the 196-acre city park that is perfect for a hike, a picnic, or a bike ride.The 360-degree view of Portland from the top is incredible! Our home offers enough space for everyone to feel at home, while also showcasing her 95-year-old charm. During your stay, you'll notice the original wood floors, the glass door knobs, built-in-place cabinetry with the original leaded glass in the dining room, and the coved ceilings. We think she's pretty great!Welcoming you as you come inside, you'll see the comfortable seating in the living room. Please make yourself comfortable! Our smart TV allows you to access all your own streaming services easily. The dining room offers seating for 6 and is a great place to play one of the many games or puzzles we offer, or to enjoy a homemade meal prepared in our well-appointed kitchen. Our large picture windows offer views of mature trees right across the street, and they're beautiful in any season! You'll find two bedrooms with super comfortable beds and luxury linens that will offer a restful nights' sleep. They both offer king sized beds. **Please note: Access to the sitting room with space for an additional guest is obtained by walking through one of the other bedrooms, but it does have doors that close it off. This set up makes for a perfect "family suite." Our backyard is fully enclosed and is a great space to play with the kids. While enjoying the private back yard space, you'll be able to see a variety of local plants and succulents lovingly planted around the perimeter of the yard. When you're outside, you'll undoubtedly be visited by the two juvenile crows that were born in the pine trees behind the house last year. Their names are Cheryl and Russell (get it? they're crows...) and they love peanuts. You'll find some in the kitchen cabinet above the coffee pot. You can throw them out or lay a few on the railing outside the kitchen door and watch them collect their treasures through the kitchen window. It's really neat!The attic and basement are our personal spaces and therefore, access is not permitted. Access to the garage is reserved for the owners, as well. Thank you for your understanding!We love our home and hope you do, as well! We also love our neighbors and our neighborhood. Please be respectful while you're here. While we don't have cameras inside our home (we respect your privacy), we do have cameras and noise monitors outside. Please limit your outdoor merry-making to reasonable hours and make sure you observe quiet time after 9pm. **Please understand that if you fail to be respectful of that rule, and our few other rules, you may be asked to vacate our home. Once inside, it's easy to find comfort. All of the details of home will surround you: a fully-equipped kitchen, comfy seating, the best bed ever. Quiet, peaceful, modern, clean, warm and inviting, you'll drop everything to sink into this space. A king size bed is upstairs in the master suite with full luxury bath. The main level sofa turns into the best sofa bed you've ever experienced. Memory foam, luxurious linens, and comfy pillows will make for a dreamy experience. While it's not exactly a second bedroom, the sofa bed is in the rear living space of the house, leaving the front great room still available for guests to wander around. This Hawthorne-Belmont tiny house is bigger than its footprint and close to everything you need to live in Portland. Stumptown coffee. The restaurants on Division and the bars on Belmont. Biketown bike share. Mt. Tabor and Laurelhurst Park. New Season's Grocery store and a new H-mart Asian Market. Powell's books and backyard chickens. This two-story tiny house has a full kitchen with a gas range, a washer-dryer combo, a truly comfortable bed, radiant heat for socked feet, 13 windows, 3 skylights and two red dutch doors.Whether you're in town for business or to explore the city, this tiny house in one of Portland's finest locations with a straight shot to downtown and mere blocks from everything you could need or want is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood where rest comes easy. The house has a wrap around porch and a small patio ideal for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. For those rainy nights the metal porch roof will put you to sleep like a baby. We have recently moved out of the main house and headed off on an adventure to Casablanca, Morocco. The family living in the main house has no connection to the tiny house, but they are super friendly so feel free to say hello in passing. They also have a friendly dog who you might see during your stay. The tiny house is being managed while were away by Wes's sister Gretchen. Enjoy a unique stay in one of Portland’s most published and celebrated home and acre garden. This serenely beautiful 19th century Queen Anne Farmhouse in the heart of Portland has been completely re-imagined by the artists and craftsmen of Lonesomeville to create a private world all it’s own. Each aspect was carefully designed and hand built to make the entire acre a unique piece of art. The first floor features a huge kitchen with banks of French pane windows looking out over the original farmstead and garden. A gas fireplace in the kitchen adds a warm ambiance to any evening. The kitchen also features two large service pantries with complimentary espresso, french press coffee, locally made bagels, orange juice, assorted wines, beer and other beverages. The dinning room features walls of enormous French pane widows looking onto the completely private gardens. The front rooms feature a large fireplace, comfortable seating and unique art. A large front porch, deep back porch and kitchen side sun porch round out the many ways to enjoy this amazing house.On the second story enjoy two large bedrooms with queen and double beds, mezzanine library stocked with hand selected books, a cozy gas fireplace, side sun porch/sitting room, and completely restored bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower all carefully hand crafted.NOTE: Although we encourage all of our guests to enjoy the house and grounds with friends and family during their stay, due to neighborhood restrictions we are not able to host large events on the property.Finally, if you have any questions regarding this unique place, please read our reviews.
