馬來西亞砂拉越的2 星級飯店

I honestly didn't expect the bathrooms to be shared, as I thought each room would have its own private bathroom. But it's okay. Thankfully, my family and I were safe throughout our stay here. Although the bathroom are share, the cleanliness is always well maintained. The rubbish bins are also cleaned regularly, so there was no unpleasant smell around the outside of the rooms. I appreciate that. Thank you. However, what was very disappointing was the owner's and way of communicating with guests. On the first day, the fan and light in my room were not functioning properly. I needed to do some office work, but I had to use my phone flashlight because the room light was not working properly. The light was very dim, since the room also had no window, it was quite dark. That morning I called the number that had contacted me before my check-in date. I thought it was the accommodations service number,so I called it directly. However,tthe owner became angry with me. Eventually,I was moved to Room Aiman 2. Unfortunately,there were also some issues with the second room. The floor was wet and the mattress had not yet been properly prepared,perhaps because the previous costumer had just checked out. I contacted the service number through WhatsApp,but there was no response. When I returned night,I called the number directly. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding in the way the information was communicated,and as a costumer,I may also have misunderstood something. I can accept that.However,what really upset me was the owners rude choice of words and the accusation that I did not know how to read. What was even more offensive was the remark, ”Are you Indonesian?Don't you know how to read?”.I am Malaysia ok. That statement was inappropriate and made me feel as though I was being judged based on my nationality. As a business owner,I believe it is important to be careful and respectful when communicating with customers. There was nothing wrong with simply saying, ”Oh,I'm sorry,ma'am. I let my staff come and have a look at it shortly.”A simple and polite response like that would have made a big difference. As customers,we would also leave with a good impression and wish the owner well. I don't travel very often,but whenever I stay in other people's place,I always try to be respectful when dealing with others,whether by phone or face-to-face. This was the first time I experienced this kind of treatment. I hope other customers will not have to experience the same thing. For my next trip,I would not recommend this place. The owner really needs to improve the way they communicate with customers. Having a strategic location is not enough if the communication with customers is rude or disrespectful. Peace, no war. TV had no signal, the room was too small, and cleanliness was average. Suitable for solo travelers. Please note this hotel has no elevator. The distance to the airport is close.
