It was a unique experience to stay in the oldest prison in western australia.
We had a double decker in one of the cell blocks and showered in a ild shower that inmates used to use back in the day.
Its walking distance to the markets and cafes. Great place to stay
My room (double room) was amazing: very comfortable, big and clean. I loved that they also offered the chance to leave the baggage in a locked room for the entire afternoon.

訪訪客Was greeted quite rudely by a woman who snapped ”There are no vacancies”. Told her my name and she said a person of that name had already checked in. Told her my accommodation was already booked and paid for and showed her my phone with the information. Strange as ”vacancies” sign was up outside this establishment. Accommodation was quite good other than this person's abrupt greeting.
訪訪客用戶This is the only stay if you need to go to Karijini national park from the west coast. It's a 7 hour drive from Carnargon, literally in the middle of nowhere.
Thr cabin we booked was clean and we'll air-conditioned. The dinner there was fantastic, lamb was so tender. Food was exquisitely cooked. We could never imagine such a fine dinning experience in the middle of absolutely nowhere.
Shower was hot enough, air-conditioning was cool enough. There is a tiny hill you can hike up for sunrise and sunset. Also star gazing. Overall an excellent stay.
