My wife and I visited Catalina Island for our 28th anniversary — our first time back since before we were married in 1997. We chose the Catalina Canyon Inn specifically for the pool, jacuzzi, on-site restaurant, and shuttle service. Their website is very nice and seemed like a perfect match for the occasion. Unfortunately, very little matched what was advertised. Shuttle: The shuttle was not waiting at the Catalina Express port when we arrived on the last ferry Saturday evening which was unexpected. Four of us were left waiting in the dark for about 20 minutes until the other couple called the hotel. The driver was friendly and apologized, but this set the tone for the weekend. The shuttle was consistently unreliable throughout our stay. They tell you to call the driver directly, but he often didn't answer. You'd end up having to call the hotel instead, and the shuttle only seemed to come after someone went inside and told the front desk in person. At one point we waited 45 minutes. Some guests got frustrated and just decided to walk, but the hotel sits at the top of a steep hill — not a realistic option, especially for older guests like us. Their website suggests the shuttle runs regularly, but that was far from our experience. Restaurant: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM Saturday and were turned away, even though their website says they're open until 8:00 PM. We had to rush down the hill to find dinner to-go in town before the shuttle stopped running at 8:45. It was a shame we didn't even have time to stay and eat on our anniversary or face having to trek up that hill. The next morning I mentioned this to the restaurant owner, who insisted they closed at 8:00 and that she was there. She then told us the restaurant closes at 2:00 PM on Sundays — so dinner there that night wasn't an option either. She was very friendly though I must say. On Monday we finally had breakfast before checkout. The food was mediocre and didn't match the glowing reviews at all. The prices were also odd — $12 for mozzarella sticks, $20 for nachos, but only $11 for pulled pork sliders, which you'd expect to be the pricier item. The pricing just didn't add up. While we were there, another couple was turned away at 1:30 PM because the restaurant closes from 2–4 on Mondays. We could feel their frustration. Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi we were looking forward to was covered up and converted into a gazebo with chairs. At first we couldn't find it but yea. No mention of this on the website. Room issues: The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The front desk told us we can mention it to housekeeping, who didn't come until after 5:00 PM. We got the soap and a couple fresh towels. The towels themselves were thin and didn't dry well overnight so fresh ones were sorely needed to get at least one shower in with soap before we had to leave the next day. The TV didn't work at all, and the microwave was unplugged — though I was able to fix that myself. The hotel also doesn't offer complimentary coffee, which is standard at most hotels we've stayed at for half the price. The good: The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the balcony was a nice touch. The room was quiet. Bottom line: The website gives a very different impression than what you actually get. Between the unreliable shuttle, limited and unpredictable restaurant hours, missing amenities, thin towels, and no coffee, this was not the anniversary experience we hoped for. I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown so you're not dependent on a shuttle and stuck with limited options. I think we need to redo our anniversary. It was a miss for sure.

距離機場汽車10分鐘，大概5公里之內。在酒店朝北的房間，可以直接看到高速公路101對面的飛機的起降（隔音好，聽不到任何噪音）。 酒店在一羣剛剛建成的建築羣裏，後面停車場很大，房間和設備非常新，這在美國不常見。房間大，有簡單的廚具和爐子，適合帶小朋友出來，可以簡單做一些吃的。 因為周圍都是新建築，目前對面衹有兩個快餐店（其中一家是美國有名的中餐連鎖Panda），其餘還是在招租狀態，估計需要一年多才會有更多配套設施。不過，對面社區裏面有三四家餐廳，其中有西海岸有明的漢堡店In-N-Out。 酒店就在灣區快軌BART 車站，可以做快軌快速去硅谷舊金山。 酒店提供早餐，對於美國酒店而言，還算不錯了: 煮雞蛋🥚、炒雞蛋、麪包、燕麥粥、窩扶、酸奶、咖啡……

我們在逗留期間遇到了幾個問題,這極大地影響了我們的經驗。第一天,我們與客房部工作人員略有分歧,要求爲我們兩間客房提供第二條毛巾,只有一條臉巾。4樓的清潔人員與其中一位客人爭論,而不是滿足簡單的要求。 第二天,我們把所有用過的毛巾放在門外收集,但沒有歸還新鮮的毛巾。當我們詢問另一位管家時,她解釋說毛巾可能仍在清洗,可能在下午1點左右可用。我們白天去釣魚,晚上回來,希望洗澡和清理,但仍然沒有毛巾。 我向前台報告了這個問題,最終我們選擇提前大約20個小時離開,這樣我們就可以回家洗澡了。儘管如此,我們還是被收取了沒有空調,沒有電話聯繫前台的房間的全部費用,5台冰機中只有1台在運行。

第二次來住這家假日，入住前由於行程關係，需要寄存行李在酒店數日，查詢了附近的酒店都沒有確切的消息，今天在前台Kevin的幫助下，付款了100美元，寄存了三件行李，存了五天，可能是規則不一樣的緣故，我們習慣了國內的那種服務，不過還是很感謝他的查詢幫助，最終同意我們寄存，早飯一如既往地好，過兩天回洛杉磯還是住假日

住宿地址交通便利，就在公車站旁。有便利商店。同一地區的餐廳缺點是該地區有很多無家可歸的人。為了清潔有的很乾淨，有的不太乾淨，因為這是很多人住的住宅。總的來說，這是值得付出的代價。

酒店位置在一個十字路口，對麪是golden-gate park,公園不錯。離UCSF較近，參觀medical center 方便些。早餐典型的美式早餐簡餐，還好！

非常棒的體驗！ 設施：設備齊全完善，各種需求供應不間斷。 衞生：房間和公共空間非常乾淨衞生，令人感到舒適愉悦。 環境：交通便利，附近就是大型商超聚集地，有best by、沃爾瑪等，也是餐館聚集地，有美餐、日料、快餐、墨西哥餐等。 服務：服務非常好，有問必答，態度熱情。

設施：設施完備，沒想到還有小冰箱，這一點我非常滿意，除此之外，還有滴濾式咖啡機可以現沖咖啡，對於商務旅行的人士比較貼切。 衞生：沒有像評論區説的衞生有太大問題，我認為總體比較乾淨。 環境：周圍處在高速路旁邊，難免會有川流不息的車流聲，這裏也是通往洛杉磯市中心的必經之路之一，關上窗子後就還好。然後這裏還有泳池和二十四小時健身房，沒來得及去看，但我覺得這個價位已經很不錯了。環境也比較安全。 服務：服務人員很友好。 除此之外，我留意到這是個華商酒店，酒店很多指示牌都有中文，房間內也有中國的繪畫。 早餐雖然比較簡單，基本都是預製菜，但是該有的都有，我覺得已經夠好了。隔壁還有個**，但是沒看過裏面啥樣，很新奇。

✨ 這次在洛杉磯轉機，選了這家萬豪旗下的Fairfield Inn，體驗直接超出預期！酒店的免費機場班車超給力，幾分鐘就能直達LAX，對趕早班機的旅客來説簡直是救星。特大床房空間寬敞，床品柔軟親膚，隔音效果也很好，倒完時差睡得超安穩。房間乾淨清爽，辦公桌、免費Wi-Fi都配齊了，臨時處理工作也完全不耽誤。前台服務熱情高效，辦理入住退房都很快，免費早餐種類豐富，熱食咖啡都很在線，開啟元氣滿滿的一天。周邊還有超市和餐廳，補給吃飯都很方便，下次來洛杉磯轉機還會優先選擇這裏！
