Houhai is a part of Shichahai which has gone through thousands of years. It is an idle place with water and can see mountains, weeping willows brushing the shore, folk houses and inhabitants on the shore, and the surrounding royal palaces and former residences of celebrities, which display the endless charm of Beijing and history. People come here just for the sake of hearing the crisp bug sounds in autumn, still seeing the epitome of the old Beijing courtyard complex, and still chewing the Royal legacy that seems to have gone away. It is said that the "sea" is actually a huge man-made lake, a pool exclusively enjoyed by the old royal family. Mystery permeates in a leisurely way. It is said that the waters of Houhai are connected with the Dragon veins of the Palace Museum, which has been a treasure land of geomantic omen since ancient times. Therefore, the ancient monks built temples here, while the princes and ministers chose sites to build gardens on the shore, and celebrities moved to the lakeside to begin their first life on the shore of the back sea. Therefore, as the saying goes, "What is the first Chahai, then Beijing City".
