When Charles I was taken to the first floor of the banquet hall and executed in Trafalgar Square, who could have imagined that there would be a statue of Charles I hundreds of years later, very close to other attractions such as the National Gallery of Art.

The statue of Charles is a landmark landscape. On the edge of the square, the black sculpture is exquisite. It's a figure riding a horse. It's very handsome.
