In the afternoon, I went to Puping Palace (the Ninth Emperor's Summer Palace). The first one was Princess Shilintong's boudoir. The third is the eighth palace of the Ninth Emperor. It is the 50th anniversary monument of the Ninth Emperor's accession to the throne. When Emperor Bhumibol IX was 19 years old when he was studying abroad in 1946, his brother Emperor VIII suddenly collapsed. He returned home to succeed to the throne and continued to return to university to complete his studies. Emperor IX was a versatile emperor loved by the Thai people and died at the age of 89 (October 14, 2016). Thai officials and many people have been filial to him for a year.


