亞歷山大飯店(Hotel Alexander Zurich Old Town)

Excellent location. Walking distance from Zurich HB. Breakfast was included in the price. Spread was just right. Family room was a decent size. No kettle but was given one upon request. Will definitely book again

Really small rooms & they charge per person. This is the only hotel in old town to do this. The others do not charge per person. They charge per room. I booked a queen room & then was like now the price is different. This is bait & switch. Front desk girl checking us in was super rude. She was on phone & finally I was like hello can I just check in?! If I hadn’t paid for room I would’ve left. We paid for breakfast & did not eat it. No coffee maker in room. One pillow. Not comfy for a couple. I will not stay here again. It has an old town location but should be rated 2 stars or less.

This was our second trip to Zurich Switzerland and the second time staying at the Hotel Alexander. My friends and I will continue checking in at the Alexander in the future. This is a very well run and maintained hotel in a fun, eclectic area of town. The breakfast is a great way to start the day with traveler-friendly hours and food options. Hotel check-in is friendly, smooth, and efficient.

Hotel was centrally located and walking distance from Zürich HB. Very nice area in old town and near plenty of restaurants and sights to see. Check in was quick and easy, with front desk available 24/7. Room was small (which was expected) and fairly clean, however the floors were quite dirty. Additionally, the attached hair dryer in the bathroom would only run for about 4-5 min at a time before overheating and needing 10 min to cool down. But for the price and location, I’d absolutely stay here again.

The checking was pleasant and fast. The room had a bad odor. The breakfast presentation was awful. The food options were limited and the food was moldy.

Walk out your door straight in the middle of the old town. This hotel as an a grade location. It was an easy 5 minute walk from the main train station and a 9 minute train journey to the airport. The old town area has an amazing vibe with lots of unique shops. From the hotel it is also a very short, picturesque walk across the bridge to the main designer shopping Street Bahnhofstrasse. The hotel itself was exceptionally welcoming. If your room is available when you arrive, they offer an early checkin. They also gave free mini bar in the room as well as the nice touch of a fruit bowl and free coffee machine in the foyer. The breakfast was typical Swiss style breakfast and good quality. Our room was clean and quiet (we were on the back side of the hotel so not sure what the front side is like). We would stay here again.
