聖喬治吉普飯店(Saint Georges Keep)

We had a lovely stay, the apartment is the perfect base to see all the sights of York. Its clean and well presented with everything you could need for a short break, as well as some extra treats. Beds and sofas were lovely and comfortable. Hosts we a text away to answer any questions and were extremely helpful.

Brilliant apartment in a first class location central to just about everything. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable. Only downside is the noise on a night from the pubs and clubs and goes on well into the small hours and does keep you awake somewhat, however I understand this is possibly the price you pay for such a central location. That said, I will still come back to Saint George’s Keep next time I am in York.

My partner and I have visited York every year since we met in 2010. This was our 3rd stay at St George's Keep apartments. As usual it was superb! The facilities are second to none and provide a real home from home feel. Lesley and Jo the owners provide an excellent service, they are very responsive if you need to contact them. When we stayed in 2019 I asked if they could put a birthday balloon, cake and wine in the apartment for our arrival for my partner, this was not a problem for them and they refused to take any payment. The little touches such as welcome hamper, milk and water were still there. I know the business must have struggled during the peak of the pandemic as all hospitality did, I did think some of those little touches might be missing because of this, but it was as it always is. The bathrobes, slippers, earplugs are luxurious little touches. The goodies in the welcome hamper as well as the toiletries are from local companies, it is a great way to promote and support local businesses. The free WiFi is really easy to connect to and is quick. We took our Now TV stick and it connected to the WiFi with no issues, we got a takeaway and watched a film on Prime Video on out last rainy night. We used the pizza shop across the road opposite Clifford's tower called Ali Geez, it was lovely. I am an early riser and consider 7oclock a lie in. One morning I woke up at ten past nine! The beds are fabulous, I think I need a new bed, I woke feeling refreshed and with no aches and pains. I had to contact the owners and mentioned how comfy the bed was, Lesley told me they have just replaced all of the beds, mattresses, bedding etc. Extremely comfy, fairly firm, deep mattress, which at 5'2" I was just able to get into without a bunk up from my partner 😂. I cannot recommended these apartments enough. Fab location, amazing service and welcoming hosts.

Very comfortable, well equipped and in the perfect location. Host was very helpful, checking in to make sure that everything was in order. Beds very comfortable and bathroom well appointed, with a lovely jacuzzi bath. The only downside was that there was a little noise outside at night from revellers and traffic, but this was a minor thing and I would definitely come back.

I booked Saint Georges Keep at least 8 months before I travelled. I nearly cancelled a couple of times thinking accommodation elsewhere would be more handy and closer to the city. How wrong could I be and so glad I didn't cancel. Saint Georges Keep is a fabulous building with great apartments. We travelled as a couple for our wedding anniversary so booked a one-bedroom apartment. Unsure if there are bigger apartments with more bedrooms but perfect for a couple. The building is very modern and clean. We were on the 3rd floor and there was a large lift to our flat. The flat itself has everything you need - kitchen area including dishwasher, fridge, cooker, utensils, plates, kettle, toaster, I could go on. Off the kitchen area is a living-room to chill and watch some TV. There is a large bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that has a very good shower and a jacuzzi bath. There is also a separate toilet off the hallway. The double bed was very comfy and there was a TV in the bedroom as well. The apartment was immaculately clean and everything you need for your stay but what make it extra special is both the communication with the owners and the lengths they go to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. They left milk and fresh water in the fridge and a basket of goodies on the kitchen table that had jams, crisps, chocolate and a drink. As I had mentioned it was my anniversary they went the extra mile and left a bottle of bubbly as a gift. I tried to pay for the bottle but was advised just to enjoy and no money was needed. A lovely touch. The location of the premises is easy for the city centre where you are literally two mins away and 10 mins from the famous Shambles. We took a taxi from the train station on the first night (£6) but walked to the station on our final day (15 mins) so it is handy for everything. I'll return to York and Saint Georges Keep will be my first search when looking for accommodation. Highly recommended.

What csn I say but amazing stayed fof our anniversery in the heart of the city wslking didtance of sll mzjor attractions apartment was warm cosy and prefect for snuggling up. Had access to all streaming services and was met with a lovely hamper as well

GOOD BITS What a fantastic apartment!! We were in No 7 Fairfax. The 2 bedroom apartment was spotless with everything you could possibly need. They even supplied bath robes, slippers and ear plugs. Lovely welcome basket with biscuits, chocolate, jam etc. and milk, water and butter in the fridge. Toiletries in bathroom if needed and plenty of nice fluffy towels. Jacuzzi bath with shower and a helpful step for the less mobile. Spacious lounge with TV, comfy sofas and wi fi Plenty of spotless crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils even some cleaning products. Full size oven and hob, dishwasher and Coffee maker. The beds 1 Double and 2 singles were very comfortable and the bedding was spotlessly clean and warm. Would definitely stay here again if in York as location is spot on and it’s a beautiful apartment. Only a few minutes walk from town centre, the Christmas Markets and Car Parks. Thank you so much Lesley and Jo Anne for a lovely stay. NOT SO GOOD BITS BUT DEFINITELY WOULDN’T STOP US STAYING HERE AGAIN!! The toilet was unfortunately extremely difficult to flush especially if you haven’t much strength in your hands or have arthritis in fingers. There also seemed to be a horrible continuous smell in the entrance foyer, lift and upper landings which we think was smelly drains but would stress there was ABSOLUTELY NO SMELL in the apartment whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

What a fabulous apartment, from the moment we arrived we felt home from home, it was clean, beds very every comfortable. The hamper, milk in the fridge and little touches like slippers and bathrobes was a lovely touch. Cleaning products to wash dishes etc were already in the kitchen. The owners were so lovely and messaged us on a number of occasions making sure we were okay, nothing was too much bother for them. The location of the apartments is central to everything. We definitely will be back, York is a beautiful city, the Christmas market and atmosphere was truly lovely.
