Worst Hotel Ever! Booked under South Cairns Resort on ***********, couldnt find hotel apparently it is under a different name New Chalon, nothing new here im afraid! Photos looked good when we booked especially the pool area but wow how disgusting is this place! Floors all dirty, pool area absolutely disgusting, carpet in room filthy and stained, no towels in room, a used cake of soap in the shower, some weird half used disgusting bottles of somthing in the bathroom, no hot water to wash plates, used dirty dish cloth, kettle didnt work, uncomfortable beds and disgusting rooms. I felt filthy walking into this place, so bad after checking if we nearly left.

Easy location to access. Pool is fantastic. Common areas had many ashtrays full of cigarette butts. Smelt of ciggarettes everywhere.

DO NOT BOOK IN HERE ! Worst Hotel I’ve ever been for 7 days were there only got once clean room, everything is bad the restaurant food make me have food poisoning! The lights outside the rooms are so bright none of my kids can sleep properly

This is a fabulous place to stay. Manager Helen is awesome very helpful. Well worth the stay. I would recommend it. Value for money. Really enjoy my stay. It was clean and tidy very obliging and helpful .

This property is very ordinary. It was cheap but we still paid too much. If we could have afforded to move elsewhere, we would have.

Property was very old and absolutely not what we signed up for. Its outside cairns centre only by five minutes of a drive. Next time won’t stay there.

In general a good standard room hair dryer not working. towels thread bare need upgrading.But its a good place to stay staff very nice
