溫切爾西旅館(Winchelsea Lodge)

Check in easy The staff was welcoming. The room it self was a massive let down. It was a very hot day had all windows open but because its beside a busy road you get a lot of road noise. Asked reception for a fan in the room only to be told they dont have fans then to be told that the fans they did have went to others first. The room it self was below average when you compare it to a premier inn.It was very dusty and had bits falling down on my head in the shower . Seemed to be a problem with getting warm water to the shower. Lacking basic cleaning.Breakfast was ok maybe the best bit about this place. Shame.

The place is immaculate. The rooms are nice, warm and clean. The cleaners and receptionists are very friendly however, the owner is not. He ensured to avoid greeting us and avoided eye contact daily, yet he was chatty and friendly to all the other guests, interesting behaviour from him. Breakfast is available from 8-10 yet, we arrived at 9:00 and there wasn’t enough food to feed my family. We had to request they cook more food. The breakfast was cold although, there was a good variety to choose from. Vegetarian sausages would have been great too.

the breakfasts were good, could have our choice of cooked food ( cooked to order) and all food was well presented. The bedroom was okay though the mattress and pillows were hard. Although the hotel is on a busy road the room was quiet. However the bathroom was tired; the washbasin was coming off the wall, the radiator was rusty and there was some mould in the shower. When we arrived, we were advised that they were short of housekeeping staff but if inbetween times we ran out of toilet rolls etc, should ask at reception. When after 2 days we did ask at reception for more toilet rolls and clean mugs, we were told fairly abruptly, that it was their policy not to service rooms during a stay due to covid, nothing about short of staff. We have stayed at several hotels since covid started and have not come across this before. We felt bad about having to ask. I thnk they are generally short of staff as one guy seemed to be doing everything. In conclusion the food was good and while their current housekeeping policy in in place okay for a one night stay.

Our regular / go-to accommodation when visiting family in Sussex. Clean family rooms, quiet location and great breakfasts with something to satisfy everyone. Have used several times before and nothing to change our mind on this occasion.

easy check in, great room, wonderful restaurant, just what we needed for a relaxing, chill-out night away. Staff were friendly, polite and professional.

The room we had was nothing like the pictures on the website. It was very cramped - nowhere to sit except on the beds. The shower room needs a complete re-fit. The shower itself was extremely poor - very low water pressure. The tiling was, in places, cracked and the grouting dirty. Dinner in the restaurant was ok but certainly not, as the website suggests, fine dining. But the breakfast was good - excellent range of food and pretty good coffee.

Breakfast was good. Sleepingroom was o.k., bathroom needs refurbishment, specially for the price of the room.

Can’t fault the place for the money. Nice people, pleasant location.

Staff were friendly and our stay was comfortable however our room was compact.
